Terrible, the administration and staff care about their reputation and their jobs. If the students have an issue, it’s a problem we have to deal with in “the real world” so we better deal with it.

I'm a recent alumni from the school and I graduated top 15, had a decent experience overall. It's what you make of it. Students are different every year so you really can't judge them, the younger ones are often immature and many students come from lower socioeconomic classes. The staff is aware of this and do their best to tailor a comfortable and engaging learning environment for them. The students really need a good role model who they can look up to, trust or inspire.Unfortunately, one of the teachers many troubled students trusted was not invited to come back. This infuriated many people and I can honestly say, ruined morale. A lot of the older staff is running out of patience with the administration and this makes them less enthusiastic to teach. You can walk in and literally see how burnt out and tired all the teachers are. Food wise, the food is mediocre. Occasionally the bathrooms are really disgusting but honestly I just blame that on the students. I don't agree on the way how the middle school is merged into the high school and the administration's constant attempts on trying to be inclusive. The intent is great but realistically, trying to incorporate middle schoolers to a high school pep rally kills the exclusive experience. The exclusive experience can hype kids up, give them something to look forward to!Another thing; the school truly focuses and recognizes only athletes. As an academic athlete, we had to fight to be recognized for our academic achievements. The administration pretends they can take criticism but when asked genuine questions, they beat around the bush and if pushed a little, they become angry. I understand no one wants to be belittled by 15-17 year olds but they really have to try harder to listen and make active changes. Also financially, the school is a black hole. They are terrible at keeping track of money and we are constantly having to ask where are checks are going, what happened to the money, etc. Once we allowed our car to be used in a parade and our tires were punctured. We asked to be comped and instead of giving us money for new tires, they just paid for our school fees free of charge without permission.

"The school of lowered expectations. It has so much potential - good kids (for the most part), decent facilities - but the leadership is more afraid of people ""feeling bad"" than developing and promoting actual successes by it's students (loves to promote the wonders of the administration, though). Try to find a posted listing of the Honor Roll. Or mentions of awards and recognitions kids other than the basketball team have received. Definitely a demotivating experience for both kids and parents."

I'm currently an 8th grader this year and they're a few things i would like to share.First, the administration is junk, they don't seem to care about the kids they only care about their reputation. The students smoke a lot and are very nasty(in sexual ways.) The teachers are somewhat helpful but not all the time. Secondly, the school is a mix between high schoolers and middle schoolers(which in my opinion causes conflict between the two.)The activities are very limited and boring. Finally, the cafeteria food is disgusting and chaotic. I would not recommend this zoo of a school to my worst enemy so please do not send your child here unless you want no future for your child.
