Amazing, and successful. I'm so glad we picked FPA. They use a lot of the curriculum we were using, and the interactive classes took a lot of weight off my shoulders. Although we are Home Educating, she is getting a classical, accredidated Education.

My teenage son has made positive progress by leaps and bounds. His grades have improved and so has his attitude. But what I really like is to be able to gauge my son's performance daily just by logging into the FPA portal and have a bird's eye view on how my son is performing daily, weekly, monthly and by semester. I can catch his weaknesses and by the help of his teacher get him back on track. You can't say that about public education. Due to his positive experience with FPA his first year, I've already enrolled him for the 7th grade. I've always asked my son about his opinion on this subject, and he tells me there are certain subjects that he did not learn in school and he loves the one on one interaction with the teacher. YES, he can't wait for school to open again in late August. That is great news to a parent just hoping to get ahead in his son's learning and preparing for the world in front of him. At least I'm doing what I can to get him there with the right attitude.

I can't say enough good things about Freedom Project Academy! This is our first year. My husband has been following the progress of FPA since our son was a baby and it seems they've worked out the kinks in the past few years and are truly offering a first-class education from the comfort of your home. We are a military family and a consistent common-core free k-12 curriculum is a top priority for us but a near impossibility with this lifestyle. As much as I love the idea of homeschooling, I recognize that I am not gifted in teaching and have no real desire to teach my kids but I want them to have the best education possible with a biblical worldview. Having the freedom to take school with us on vacation is also critical for us as we don't get to choose vacation times, especially before and after deployments. I was concerned about moving cross country during the school year and I can say, my son's teacher was very accommodating. We were able to watch the classes he missed in the hotel room along the way and he was given an extra week to complete the coursework. To move 2500 miles, be able to sight-see along the way, and not miss a beat with schooling was a breath of fresh air during an otherwise stressful time. We were able to place our 5 year old in 1st grade after having him take a placement test and he absolutely LOVES school. He talks about his classmates all the time and has started messaging them outside of class. His teacher is encouraging and patient and yet firm with his rambunctious class. We even received a Christmas card from her. The students clearly love her! Freedom Project Academy is an answer to pray for our family!

FPE is the perfect fit for the homeschool family looking for a Christian, classical, Common Core free education for their children, but doesn't necessarily want to sit down and do one-on-one instruction with each child (or all at once- I've tried multi-level approaches and ended up frustrated because it was above the younger children's level or too easy for the older ones- and I ended up doing large amounts of one-to-one regardless). We have been with FPE for two years (entering our third now). My two eldest will be 7th and 9th grade and I am still teaching my youngest (4th grade), independently. It's perfect for us because I've found that as my kids got older, it became increasingly difficult to hold them accountable and have them "turn in" assignments when life is contantly going on around us, and I'm busy running a household and helping taking care of the business my husband and I own. But I wasn't about to send them to public school because of the values we hold, and private schools are so expensive (and many using CC materials and may not even realize it)!We found FPE through a lecture they gave at a community church through our homeschool group and it has been a Godsend! Our experience has been wonderful. The teachers are professional and truly care for the students and the subjects they teach. Yes, the course load is rigorous, but in my opinion that's a good thing. It has helped my kids become more independent. I sometimes have to help them with their work, but their teachers are also available in office hours and they have tutors available as well. They have gotten into the swing marvelously with keeping track of their own schedules and handing in their assignments on their own. It's great to have them held accountable to someone other than me, and they get grades and will receive a diploma when they graduate. I have enough time (and sanity) to continue to individually instruct our youngest, and she will enter FPE in two years, for 6th grade, like her older sister did. My son is going into high school with them and I have no doubt he will receive a solid education, with unrevised history rooted in the Constitution, creation-based science, great classical literature, and incremental, traditionally taught math- all based in Christian values. If this resonates with you, FPE will be the perfect fit for your family, like it is for ours.

I have been a teacher for Freedom Project for 3 years. During my time with them, I have seen the school grow from 125 students to over 600. Each year the administration and staff have worked to build a school that strives for excellence and provides an alternative for parents seeking solutions for educating their children. We believe in providing students with a strong foundation, so that they can learn to think critically about the world around them and become responsible, well-educated citizens. There is no one size fits all when it comes to educating individuals, but our school serves as a wonderful option for families who choose to partner with us.
