Excellent. Friendly staff. Great principle who is very involved with the students!

It was the worst experience of my life. Students tore each other apart over grades and teachers were hard on struggling students. The counselors were over worked and didn't have time to talk to the students who needed it. The school focused way too much on academics instead of student wellbeing.

I agree with the previous comments on this feed. The school is excellent for academics, but as far as everything else it is horrible. Bullying is very common and basically ignored by the administration. The kids at this school are entitled and lack compassion for their fellow students. The girl's basketball coach has ruined so many girl's self-esteems that he should not be coaching and the soccer coach isn't any better. The athletic director should do a better job of making sure that these programs are less political and more about building the esteems of their young, female and male athletes. When you are up by 35 points in a basketball game let the other kids play! When you are up by 5 goals in a soccer game sub your starters, this is just common sense! The athletic politics at Woodinville High School are second to none!If I had to do it all over again I would not send any of my children to this school! Beware.

Academics for the school are very good, hands down. A lot of AP and challenging course work with supportive teachers. Their ranking tells it all. However for a balanced student, athletics are a joke for girls, especially for Girls Basketball. Coach picks girls through the feeder program making decisions years in advance based on the how the parents suck up to him. Little opportunity for any girl get a different opportunity.. It's really bad when you see the dynamics. The high school needs a shake up. Coach needs to leave as does the athletic director. They don't care about the environment, never want feedback on coaches. Teachers have feedback all the time.If you provide feedback it's the typical response, "it's a competitive environment". But it's really not. I've play high school and college athletics. It's not really competitive, couple be so much better and definitely not a positive one. I'm all for competitive when positive; no one there is going to the WNBA.1. Shouldn't have a JV coach that coaches his own daughter on the team. 2. JV players should all play decent minutes else let the girls know they won't at the start of the year. Set better expectations. 3. Just watch... even in a blow out they don't put in other players. Girls still only get 1 minute even if a win is inevitable. Create a better environment for these girls! Thank god we moved schools and my daughter started played varsity in high school and was league 2nd team.At Woodinville she didn't make the team, nothing to do with skill at all.

The experienced staff leads to high graduation rates among classes year after year. The student life is a bit more about popularity and status than anything else, but you'll find that at any high school in the nation. As a wealthier neighborhood, you are going to find easy access to drugs and alcohol for the students that attend. It's really on the parents to monitor that behavior and set limits on allowances for their kids, nothing the school can do about that. For those interested in sports, the teams are great due to private club teams and lessons provided by families in the area. Hundreds academic and athletic scholarships are awarded to students every year.Foreign language programs at the school are awesome, and kids can earn college credit while enrolled at WHS.
