I attended OLG from K-8 and I can honestly say that I could not have been more prepared for life. I am at a university now studying to become a teacher and I still find myself looking back at my OLG education as the best decision my parents made. In high school myself along with all of my classmates from OLG found ourselves above average in almost all subjects. I was taking math classes with people 1-2 years older than myself. I feel that even in college I would not have been nearly as prepared if I had not attended OLG. Thank you for preparing me for life and giving me the most amazing family of my classmates who I am still in contact with. This school is amazing and students from OLG are more prepared and do better later on in education!

This school has 'it', that special thing that you can't quite put your finger on but you know it's there. It is a small, welcoming, relatively diverse community with some of the hardest working teachers you will ever find. They are committed to building relationships and student accountability. While imperfect, this school never rests on it's heels, but continuously, arduously tries to adjust and move forward in every area from technology integration (almost 1 device per student ratio now), newly updated library, rigorous curriculum review, environmental stewardship, building maintenance, data collection and analysis, after-school programs, etc. While service projects are a norm for Catholic schools, the class projects here are fully integrated into the school year and curriculum, and go well-beyond 'flash in the pan' drives for the poor. The eighth grade graduation project culminates in students choosing a year-long area of study and service close to their hearts. You may not find all the academic student support services of a larger school, but the full-time counselor is top rate. And the 'it'... the kids here are just good kids. They are stretched, challenged, supported, and held to the highest standards of manners. They are proud, poised, active contributors to their community. You will feel it when you walk in the doors.

School has a new principal. Tuition rates are up for 2014. Costs are now $300 more than surrounding schools like Holy Family, St. Bernadette and St. Francis. What value do you get for $300 more? I'm not sure. It's a Pre-K - 8th grade school not college. Other cost to compare: registration fee $225, lunch $90 for 20 lunches. Teacher educational background is comparable to other school--just younger. Kindergarten & 1st grade teacher needs updated curriculum. They have probably been using the same curriculum for the last 15 years and they are uncomfortable with technology. Outdated library. After school and summer programs are just starting to develop. They are shorter compare to other programs elsewhere and more expensive (see WSU summer reading program and local sports camps). New gym. Some sports do not have enough interest so we must go elsewhere. Returning families must do 50 volunteer hours or cost is $25/hr. Overall, a slightly average school that cost more. Parent of two students.

I am currently an 8th grader at OLG. OLG has prepared me thouroughly for high school. I love all of the teachers and my peers. They make me feel very at home and loved. The principal is the best you will ever find. I've grown spiritually and acidemically in my 9 years here.

As a parent of 2 at OLG, i am very pleased with the education m children recieve. they've been at OLG for 6 years and the community is just amazing the principal is a real leader and knows what she's in. The teachers work hard and they support your child fully. I would fully recommend this school to friends and family. I'm happy i chose OLG for my children to attend it was a very smart choice that i don't and probably never will regret. This school really gets the parents involved to help you better understand what your child learns at OLG and know the community very well. Overall this school has truely been amazing and i would recommend this school because it's just excellent!
