Apex learning is the worst online program I have ever done. English 12 online has no functionality, doesn't teach anything relevant, and is a sorry excuse of a program. This Apex should not be aloud to put the word "learning" in their program, this program is a failure.

My daughter broke her leg at the start of summer and so we encouraged her to take an algebra II class to get ahead on her sophomore year at school. the process was smooth, teachers were responsive and the content was engaging. so that she was able to finish the entire course of both semesters during the summer break and enrolled in pre calc for her sophomore year. i couldn't speak more highly of the entire process and apex provided my daughter with so much flexibility for the rest of her school career. lastly, she is doing very well in pre calc. :)

Apex learning is for people who can self motivate. The program is not drill and kill, like a lot of hs courses. The AP science and math are great. The interactive aspect, great teachers, and treating kids like grownups is terrific.

Apex is awful. The course videos are disgusting with amateur animations and droning voices. Further, half the questions on quizzes and tests aren't covered in the course. The worst part of my experience was my teacher. She was degrading and rude when I'd turn in work and ask questions. I don't ask her questions anymore because she either ignores my question altogether or links me to a wikipedia page, and all her emails to me where hard to understand because of the lack of punctuation, capitalization and overall proper grammar. There aren't enough opportunities to make up assignments/improve grades either, with the quizzes having not enough questions and too high a weight on the score. I would never recommend Apex to anyone, and I have had maybe 2 teachers in all 12 years of school that I truly do not like and my Apex teacher is 1. (My course is AP Statistics)

The reason i gave Apex learning a one star is because of two issues. The first issue is that, you aren't able to go back and look at the answers that you've gotten wrong. How are you supposed to improve if you don't know what topics you constantly miss questions on. The second problem is the question that are asked when you take the test, quizes, and general work. Before you take any of those, you go through the lesson that is supposed to teach you of all information that will gernerally be convered in the exams. This is way wrong. When you take it test, you put the rigth answer because it is it your notes. The computer will count it wrong. I know this because i've asked my teacher what the right answer is. There are other questions that ask you how to solve the problem, but you cant since you weren't given a forumla or were even taught how to solve it. The questions are often questions that were taught in the lesson, nor are in a book. Lastly, the questions and answers are often misspelled. Overall don't take Apex Learning for their online classes. I took their AP macroeconomics class (which only one person took prior to me).
