We love Alpac. We have been here for 5 years. Although we came from a more affluent school, we much prefer the attitude of these great teachers! Altogether we have had 12 homeroom teachers and only 1 we didn't much care for. That was more than made up for with 3 of the best teachers I've ever met, and with my oldest just graduated, I've met a whole lot of teachers. I don't care much for the exclusive attitude of the PTA, but after trying to volunteer a few times, I just accepted that I can volunteer for the fabulous teachers and avoid the PTA. Overall, we are so glad that we ended up at Alpac!

This school has done everything in their power to make sure that my child is being challenged academically. They have higher reading and math groups so that the children don't have to sit there bored, listening to everything they already know- they are learning things as high above their grade level as they are able to learn. They have really worked with us on many levels. My child needed an IEP due to some behavioral issues. I never knew about IEP's until his teacher & accompanying staff suggested one to me. He has always hated school- even since pre-school.. saying he didn't like his teacher and that he was bored by the work. Now he is in 3rd grade and actually loves his teacher! He doesn't complain about having to go to school any more. I am so grateful for everyone involved.Moving in the area and getting assigned to Alpac was the best thing to happen for my child's education. Before my child's enrollment @ Alpac, we were considering moving out of state. Now, I refuse to leave because I don't think we would be able to find a school that has been as excellent as this.THANK YOU ALPAC STAFF!

"Alpac has been a nightmare for our child. We have tried to foster a relationship with the staff, but have been consistently disappointed. Our child was forced to suffer at the hands of dangerous and disruptive students in the classroom...with nothing more than a ""time out"" in the Principal's office for the offending students. There were multiple occasions that reporting to the authorities was called for...and not ONE member of the staff followed through with reporting the situation. The new Principal is nice, but carries no authority or influence. Teachers are not supported by the administration, in house or from the district. Multiple safety hazards, real and potential, were brought to the attention of the staff with minimal response. The kindergarten class went on ONE local, two hour field trip, never had a music program, and essentially was ignored in the whole of the school agenda. Regardless of the ""improved scores"" of late, this school is sorely lacking."

This school is great! I love the Walk-to-Math, Walk-to-Read programs! They test each student and place each one in a reading and math class based on their level. Love this! It's not all generic. I have two boys that go to this school and both are in the top classes! The teachers are great. Hope it stays this way with the new principle.

NNo lunchroom, kids eat breakfast outside before the teacher lets them in, teachers send homework home but don't check it, front office lady is clueless and rude. My husband volunteered to help in class and said teacher was very lazy and just handed paper after paper for the kids to work on but didn't check it.
