We are new to this school but my wife and I check out every school public and privet in Olympia/Lacey and choose this one. We did not pick this school because it was private or because it was Christian we choose it because it was obvious how much the teachers cared. This is a small school with small mixed grade classes which was also a positive. This school also has a very diverse population for Olympia, more than any other privet school we had looked at. So far the school has been amazing our daughter is learning fast due to a great teacher and I believe due to the mixed classes, I have not experienced any of the cliques mentioned in the previous review and my daughter has made friends as well as my wife and I have made new friends. There has been no push of us joining the church, and the people who do attend appear to kind and genuine good people. This school is a true diamond in a rough that is worth a check out for anyone looking for a school or changing schools.

"There are many cliques in the school, and this is a very hard school for new kids (outside of the church/community) to fit into. It goes against what a Christian school should be in a way. For those who are part of the church it is easier, but overall this is an average school that really doesn't provide a lot of extracurricular activities. If you want your child to be in a ""safe place"" where you can control things, this is an okay school, as long as you are a part of the church."

I attended 8 years of school here and am now a successful professional. Most of my fellow classmates have become professionals graduating from universities. I am still friends with many of the people who I attended school with. Our small class size helped in receiving the attention needed to better understand topics. In highschool I would recall information I had learned at this school already.

"Olympia Christian School provided me with a foundation for success. From learning Spanish from an early age to participating in local social service service projects, OCS provides students of all social backrounds the understanding of the word ""community""."

I've gone to Olympia Christian School for 8 years and every year it is a new experience. We do service projects and volunteer at the Thurstan County Food Bank. The teachers at OCS challenge each student to do good and help us when we need it. Each class has a nice number of students so you get one on one time with the teacher. By the end of the year you've grown mentally, physically, and spiritually. If you are considering sending your child to OCS. I highly recommend that you do send your child. (this is caming from a student that currently goes to OCS)
