Wonderful school with attentive teachers and staff, open door policy and extremely good communicating regularly with parents. New school is being built behind the old right now and opening in the fall of 2017. Population will be corrected as well back down to the 800 kid range which will alleviate the overcrowding now. Highly sought after school district that is doing great things.

This school is awesome! My daughter loves it here. She is learning so much, and the EEP program is wonderful. I hate that we are moving out of state. We will miss this school. The staff is great!

We transferred in from another state. My boys would cry when it was time to go to school. I have one with special needs and they would not accommodate an extended day schedule. We switched to Rock Creek Elementary and immediately we were given the extended day schedule for my son and they both love going to school. Their teachers are very nurturing and every one at Rock Creek seems to care which is a big switch from LWES. I would agree there are some good teachers making the best of a bad situation. The secretary must always be having a bad day as is extremely unpleasant. Finally the school is overcrowded and falling apart.

2nd grade teacher Michele Lenander should not be teaching. She is terrible. I think the only way you would like her is if your child was a genius academically and a bully to the kids. My child struggles academically and is bullied by the other kids in her class. She defends these children and dismisses my concerns. She just sends me messages about the things my son needs to improve with academically. Lots of kids here are direct reflections of their upper class snotty parents. If you are not one of these parents, put your child into a different classroom. Overcrowded school, drop off traffic is horrendous.
