Rose Hill Elementary School Ratings & Reviews

This is our fourth year at this elementary and have had only great experiences. The school and staff does a great job at communicating events with the parents and the parents reciprocate by being engaged and involved. There is a big sense of community from both the staff, kids and parents. Multiple individual after school activities as well as entire school events. In taking part in the ΓÇ£WatchDog DadsΓÇ¥ program and volunteering a couple times during the day through the year, IΓÇÖve never seen an issue of disrespect or anything that closely represents bullying. Our daughter is constantly bring challenged academically but encouraged and supported by the staff. Her teachers always find the time to engage all the students individually no matter how hectic the schedule. Overall, I feel proud to have my daughter enrolled at Rose Hill.

My daughter moved to this school and, after having a bad experience at the last school, came out this year with flying colors. Her education excelled this year. Even though we were told by parents from another school that we were now in the armpit of Kirkland, we feel that this school is the hollywood of schools compared to the last! The principal and teachers are so very obviously committed to the learning of the kids ~ and all without asking me for big money every time I turn around!!! Thank you Rosehill for shining through in my daughter's life!

While I mean no disrespect to any of my fellow posters, I am confused by some of the positive reviews. As a long-time member of this community, over the past few years, I have seen this once very "human" and inviting school change dramatically, and, sadly, not for the better. There is a "clinical"/analytical tone to the building that has not always been there. Based on my first-hand experiences as well as what I have heard from fellow community members, if you would like to see your vibrant, dynamic child reduced to a number or a score, then this just might be the school for you. Trust me, this has not always been the case. As someone who has always held a great fondness for this school, this post brings me no joy, and I sincerely hope that this situation can somehow be quickly rectified, and that this building can regain some of its once-abundant humanity.

All Lake Washington School District Elementary schools have the EXACT same cirriculum and teacher credentials are all very comparable. Stats will be skewed depending on the programs each school is given. Rose Hill Elementary is an amazing school community. Teachers, staff, PTSA and RHE families come together here for the well-being and success of each student. It amazes me how well this school operates and supports given the diversity and the challenges every school faces. We love the small school population and the family-like environment it has created.
