My son has attended Calvary for three years now. He started in K-5 and was shown the utmost compassion for his lack of classroom etiquette. When there were issues with another student, everything was resolved in a loving and honest manner. Kids there are taught about kindness and caring. They are taught to love by some of the sweetest ladies I have ever encountered. His teacher was consistent in keeping communication with me open and helped me figure out how to keep him caught up whenever he needed to. By the end of the year he was reading amazingly well and very happy with school. In 1st grade his teacher was very loving and made my son feel encouraged in his academic progress. He thrived all year under her instruction, growing more an more confident in his academics. In second grade we have had some issues. The teaching style is much different than what we had grown accustomed to, and our son has had a very different attitude about school. I tried many times to open communication with this teacher and at times felt hopeful. At other times I have felt shut down. After exhausting that route, I approached the principal with only love and respect. I explained everything that I had noticed, what I had tried, and what the results had been. I showed her examples of his work and his grades, then asked for her advice. Since that meeting there has been a 180 in my son's attitude. My happy hyper guy is back, and although he is never going to be the one who loves to do schoolwork, he does feel encouraged once more that he is going to be successful when he works hard. Every teacher is different, their styles, their thought processes, and their personalities. Not every communication is going to result in a successful solution, but that's no excuse to give up. In elementary school, it is especially important to remember that each year is a pass/fail sort of thing. If you can get your kid through the year happy and passing, consider yourself extremely blessed. And be encouraged that next year is full of hope, and new learning possibilities. I love my son's school. I trust that God is in control and that He has something to teach each one of us in every turbulent moment. Submit to the Lord, resist the devil, and he shall flee rom you.

Our son's teachers have been amazing! Very happy with the curriculum which seems more advanced than the public school curriculum. I have a child in public school and our son here at Calvary and our 1st grader is definitely doing work that our other child did not get until later. The class sizes are also much smaller than what I've seen in public which was what we felt our son needed. The teachers and principal have been beyond cooperative in helping meet our child's learning needs.

Very deceiving advertisement. This school is not accredited, has no school board, no curriculum, allows teachers to bring their toddlers in the classroom daily, uses the classroom & students as a daycare, & has an aggressive, unprofessional & uneducated principle. My child went here only to find that his home room teacher was amazing, but one of the other class teachers utilized her class as a daycare, brought her toddler in daily, played with her toddler & did not provide any educational structure to our child. Another parent informed us she had the children take turns watching her child during class. We witnessed no education or structure to her class & when we spoke with the principle she was unable to provide the teachers curriculum and told us "this is a private Christian school and I can do what I want". she stated "children have always been allowed at the workplace" & she saw no safety or education issues with having young toddlers in the classroom during class time. We were also informed that the church "elders" were the school board & we were not allowed to speak to them. I'd strongly advise parents to look elsewhere for a quality Christian based, private school education!

My son was bullied all year. I loved his teacher, and the secretaries. Nice staff. However I made many attempts to have my son protected there, and he wasn't. The children who bullied my son still attend that school.

Extremely happy with this school. The staff, teachers even the volunteers are wonderful. After pulling our child from a brand new public school, we feel no regret for our decision. Her grades and outlook are incredible ever since the change. Our son will be here next school term as well after dealing with their inadequacies of the middle school he attended. Thanks to everyone at Calvary. You are the best
