Teachers really care about their students. I didn't get that feeling when I went to the main high school. Hayes Freedom was a great school and I couldn't have done it without them. Class of '13

I have failed school for most of my life. It wasn't that I didn't want to learn, it was just that the staff and students weren't very open to the belief that some people learn differently than others. I am currently a freshman at Hayes and it has given me a lot of hope in life. I enjoy getting up in the morning to go learn new things. I currently have all A's. Hayes gave me hope for the future. The work is just as hard as it was in any other school I've been to but the teachers aren't constantly nagging me, the students are very polite and the teachers happily accommodate to my learning style. One of the problems I had in middle school was doodling. My teachers hated it and threatened to throw my assignments away if they had a single doodle on it. At Hayes, my teachers LOVE seeing my doodles. They don't mind as long as I finish and turn in my school work. For once, school is one of the best places to be.

Principal, counselor, teacher's and staff that make a student feel as though they genuinely matter and are welcome at the school. They help students achieve their educational goals while fulfilling state mandated requirements. There is no administration or staff agenda's or ego's only the desire to help students succeed academically and in life.

Kids come to Hayes because they think it's easy. Well, it is. The academic work is not challenging at all. The teachers have no control over their students. Class is constantly interrupted by kids messing around. I had the worst time of my life here.

We work everyday to know more about our kids - where they've been, where they want to go, how they think & learn. We strive to create a family atmosphere among our staff & students.
