My son has been at WEM for two years now-in third and now fourth grade. He came traumatized from public school and was put in the third grade lower elementary. He started the year scared, and behind in academics, particularly in writing, and by the end of the year he proclaimed to me that he had "learned to love learning again." This year, in upper elementary with two new teachers, he has excelled beyond words. The true personalized learning approach this school takes expands and deepens all student learning. The lack of focus on testing allows students to take the time to really learn and build a strong foundation in academics. Teachers see the student work every day and they know exactly how each student is performing. They handle social and emotional learning using a team approach with the teachers and classmates. The students really do think of themselves as an extended family. I LOVE this school!!!

I am parent of a 5 year old son. I read all the reviews and sent my son to this school just for one reason. I wanted him to get academically developed. I got what I wanted. I would rate the 4/5 as the teacher's are amazing. Although I am not sure about the management who think themselves to be like north shore public school. They tell parents they are following the north shore district policies. Well then they should not take $1600 per child for starters. Their numerous amount of programs which encourage parents to donate money which we happily do. In return we ask for some extra benefits, which in my case was to give my child his water bottle and ask him to drink water, to put sunscreen when he goes outside to play, to see if he is eating or throwing his food in the trash can. Which they never did. For a simple thing like sunscreen they asked doctors note with signature when me as a parent want him to put. Why all this fuss just for few simple things like sunscreen?? I am mad and I don't want to spend my money on a school which is mostly about money and not humanity. Again the teachers are awesome. But there are other great schools and affordable too.

This school is the heart and essence of Montessori. My daughter has been part of this amazing community for the last 7 years and my son just started in early childhood. For my 4th grader, Her love of learning, confidence in the world, and her respect of self, others and the environment around her are only a few of the amazing gifts she has received. She is still in love with learning and challenging her self daily. For my son, he is loving his class, his teachers and making new friends. He is quickly learning how to be part of a community and his love of learning is growing. He is well cared for and the teachers continuously watch out his well being. The teachers are connected, tuned in and always watching out for the best interest of each student. From day one I have felt nothing but gratitude and appreciation for what the school, staff and leadership provide. Academically she is excelling, and their approach of educating the "whole child" has allowed her access to a well rounded education. The school is also working to build a thriving parent community including a Parent Advocacy Group, out of school meet ups and parents night out. I feel a true sense of community being built and friendships being formed. Overall, I know this is a learning campus that exceeds the qualifications of their American Montessori Society accreditation status.

My son is currently in his 3rd year with Whole Earth. When searching for a preschool for him to attend, 3 years ago, I would walk into traditional preschools and was not impressed and could not imagine placing my son in one of those. The moment I walked into a classroom at Whole Earth I loved how calm it was, the children are encouraged to be independent and the lessons are based on the progress of your child. Our son's teacher has been nothing but amazing for the 3 years we have been there. My kiddo comes home talking about subjects he would not have learned in a crazy preschool environment. The structure is very good for him and even helps with our home activities. The owner and her staff are all very helpful and when I have questions or concerns they are quick to help. I highly recommend this school if you are looking for a real and true Montessori school.
