My son attends this school and it holds true to it's mission. The foundation is on strong Christian values. If you are looking for a Pre-K through 12 grade school with strong academics and educates with a Biblical worldview, consider Providence Classical Christian School.

We put our children (boy, girl twins) in Providence Classical Christian School in the 6th grade after attending a much smaller Christian School near our home. We had known of Providence since before our children were even born (went to our first open house when they were 6 months old) and had hoped this smaller school would eventually grow to be what Providence currently is. After realizing that wasn’t happening while our children were of school age, we decided to enroll them at Providence even though we live 32 miles away and did not know any families currently there. We have no regrets and it was quickly evident this was the best decision for our family. Our children entered Providence academically behind and one of our children has a mild learning disability. The classroom teacher that year was incredible and spent a lot of time communicating to me and working with me so we could help our children succeed. Their classmates (and students in other grades above and below) welcomed them and our children felt right at home very quickly. I volunteered there as much as I could while balancing a full time job so that I could get a feel for the culture of the school. What a blessing it was to see the same values and beliefs being taught at home followed up in the place they spend so much of their time. We are now in our third year at Providence and continue to be impressed with not only what our children are learning academically but also the life lessons that Providence teaches while instilling personal responsibility. We can now say, our children will be well prepared for college. Their friendships there continue to deepen and we can honestly say their teachers are top notch; hard working, dedicated, and love our children! We hope more families check out Providence to see for themselves what an amazing school this is.

Excellent experience at Providence. We're believers in the Providence product. Our oldest three so far attend. Despite differing personalities, they all love each day of class - learning, teachers, friends and activities. If you are a Christian family looking for a distinctively Christian way to educate your children, give Providence a try.

SCORE: 1/5. We deeply regret sending our kids (one elementary and one high school) to this to this school for the 2016-2017 school year. The actual education our children received was not exceptional. There wFrom the first day there were problems for both kids. The elementary staff refused small reasonable accommodations for our child’s learning issues (reduce copy work and writing demands to accommodate dyspraxia). It took a month to reach agreement. Worse, my child’s teacher was overheard bad-mouthing my child, by name, in public spaces of the school. My accelerated, gifted high schooler was singled out by the Bible teacher. He disclosed to my child’s classmates that my child was 2 years younger than them during the first week of school. This engendered a significant animosity. The peers were never physically or verbally abusive. But, they shunned my child, which was mean and failed to reflect the Christian character espoused by the school. This Bible teacher (an uncertificated teacher) also targeted my child and claimed my child failed to complete the Bible teacher’s assignments correctly. After weeks of this happening repeatedly, I personally attempted one of his assignments (read the text, answer the questions based on the reading). I’m a lawyer. I am used to such an assignment. My work matched my child’s work. I asked the teacher to articulate the deficiencies in my child’s work. He failed/refused to do so. The school headmaster knew that my older child was applying for a college. He agreed to write a reference for my child’s application. The headmaster did not give me any reason to know he was uncomfortable recommending my child. All other references provided me with copies of their recommendations, which were glowing. After the college rejected my child’s application, the college told me the rejection resulted from a negative reference they received. Since I had all the other references, I knew the negative reference was from the headmaster. The professional thing the headmaster should have done was to explain to me his personal discomfort with writing the recommendation. As a Christian parent, the most upsetting thing about the Bible teacher and headmaster’s behavior is that it has led my child to a crisis of faith. My child asks, if these are men of God who profess Christ and treat me unkind, what good is it to be a Christian? My child looked at the school’s treatment of the younger sibling (bad-mouthing by the teacher in public) as yet more evidence of the falsity of Christianity. I think this closed social environment made it very difficult for our children to integrate. The majority of classmates did not welcome or integrate my children into school life.

My daughter has attended Providence for 3 years. Every year she enjoys it more and more, as she gets to know her classmates and teachers on deeper levels. She feels she belongs, knows what to expect, and is therefore able to learn and grow in a extremely supportive environment. We are very thankful for this school.
