I dislike this school, due to the excessive amount of bullying and the amount of poor academics.

Amazing experience for our 4 kids. All were "known" by their teachers and were encouraged to develop their individual strengths and gifts. Our two oldest have graduated from college and have successful careers, out third student is a freshman at the University of Washington and is thriving and our youngest will graduate from Bellevue Christian this year. They all have received an excellent education from a caring staff. They have been challenged academically and have been encouraged to learn how to evaluate their world through critical thinking - they were not told what to think, but rather how to think!

I wish I can say positive things, but my experience with my child briefly at Three Points Elementary left me very dismayed. There were a lot of kids who were very disruptive, abusive, emotionally and mentally unstable, but the school and the staff don't seem to address these issues if the offenders are White. My kid's teacher in 5th grade had favoritism toward White kids and would overlook unacceptable and abusive behavior toward other non-White kids, and tried to put the blame on the victims . I expected the teachers at BCS, who have Christian values, to be fair and equal in disciplining what is wrong according to God's standards, but this was not the case throughout the entire time that child was there. Maybe middle and high school might be different, but the elementary school experience was not good at all. So we had to leave the school.

I have had three children attend BCS from Kindergarten through HS. One was a very good student, one a very good athlete and our youngest has learning differences. BCS worked well for all three of our kids! The teachers truly care about reaching students. BCS has many AP courses, the SAS program helped our youngest greatly and our son had many opportunities in sports. Football, Basketball and Baseball- love the coaches and the group of parents are fantastic! Parents cheer for all the kids, not just their own. Parents reached out to us when our son was injured truly concerned for his well being. Teachers have called me to ask if one of our children was ok they saw her upset at school. If you haven't met other parents or plugged into the school community it is on you. There are many opportunities to meet families through volunteering in the Viking Parent Group, Boosters or attending school events. This is a great place for your kids to be! There are a lot of new leaders at the helm that are taking faster action for "bullying" and incidents in the hallway. The new leadership will be taking BCS to even greater standards for teaching and behavior.

I am a parent of a current middle school student at Bellevue Christian School. We originally started with Bellevue Christian School at the 3 Points Elementary campus when my son was in Kindergarten. He attend that school through 6th grade. Once he was in 6th grade, we began investigating what the Junior High at the Clyde Hill Campus would be like for my son. After talking to several seasoned parents who had students that had completed middle school/high school or were currently in middle school, we were convinced that BCS was a good fit. BCS middle school has a wonderful balance of responsibility for the student and recognizing they are very young teenagers. We appreciate the many teachers who specifically chose to teach this age group. These teachers/coaches are not around waiting for Senior high jobs. They are dedicated to working with middle schoolers. And the Vice Principal and Administration work well with resolving issues and conflicts in this age group. The Vice Principal and staff have relationships with the students so when conflict/discipline issues come up they already know the student and can begin a dialog about boundaries and resolution. Bellevue Christian School is about students having real relationships with teachers and administration and being appreciated for who they are as a creation of God. The students are encouraged to explore who they are and what talents they have been given. My son loved 7th grade! really! and continues to enjoy 8th grade. He has a close group of friends that support each other and have a great time. I highly recommend Bellevue Christian School to any one looking for a private Christian school.
