This school is awesome. First I was a little dissapointed to enter into sixth grade and be hit with the info that there is no soccer at my new school. This made me upset but I decided to go for another sport like track and then hockey my hockey coach was very informative and helped me learning ALL MY NEW skills! I love being a lady jaguar and I look forward to the 2017/18 school year. Two reasons why I don't quite like my school all the time: the lunch should be longer and 2 bc I have a very short time to get my stuff form locker and get back to class. I start downstairs and then have to go upstairs for my locker and go back down again with 1000+ students trying to do the same thing! And old teachers need to retire please.

I'm an eighth grader at Rodney Thompson, and I've been here for about 1 1/2 years. I take one academic class (Advanced English-which isn't very advanced-it just means that you take it every other day....so more work, less fun) and I also take Virtual Virginia French. My parents chose Rodney Thompson because it had a very high rating in the state of Virginia, and nothing makes them happier than getting their children into 'perfect' school. But the truth is, Rodney Thompson isn't as great as they thought. Yes, it's better than most schools-but it's not a good school for foreigners (we're Ghanians). Our teachers are okay, though sometimes they are very stressful to deal with. Disabled? I think it has a good enough program. Sometimes they expect you to know things that you really don't, like say you were from another county and you didn't take 6th grade science. Our school is very competitive in sports, academics, and performing arts. We do have a problem with (yeecch) 'popular' kids, though. (See second review). But compared to schools surrounding us, we are a more than average school. Next year I'll be going to Brook Point, which is an average HS, but wish me luck!

Um, the people at our school are weirdos. No joke. We've got the weirdest kids in 8th grade, plus no cute guys. Lmaaoo (:
