0/5I went to this school for a few years and went to Margeurite Christian for the other part of my elementary school experience. And may I just say, C.C. Wells is far from being my favorite of the two schools. While the administration at Wells is fine, most teachers are very lazy and do not work as hard as those at Marguerite. At Wells, teachers don’t like to put in grades and give feedback to students and their families on what they should work on. They also shove and overload kids with work at the end of the year to prepare for SOLs. This is very unfair because kids are having to take quizzes each class and later on a test WITHOUT EVER KNOWING WHAT THEY NEED TO FOCUS ON FOR THE TESTS!!!!! I feel awful for any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader that has to go to this school

Excellent! I had 3 kids there and the teachers recognized their potential and referred them to either advanced or gifted programs. The school involves community/parents. It also strongly encourages reading even with families. Overall very pleased with our experience there for the past several years.

This environment is one of the most fun loving, compassionate places a child could learn. While at CCWells my child has developed so much academically and emotionally. Although my child is quirky and independent, no one is trying to squash that out or make my child for a mold.

My kids school is awesome. Great teachers who care about their students and my 3 boys love their teachers. Excellent security. Excellent guidance counselor too.

I've had mostly positive experiences at this school. My children are both good students with no disciplinary problems. They both have responded well to the method that Wells teachers use to teach math and are both excellent readers. All of their teachers so far have been good to excellent. Some teachers are better than others, but the same was true when I went to school. Parent involvement is strong and the PTA is active. I feel like Wells is a solid mid-level school that if your children are the types to excel they will and if they need some help you may have to be a more proactive parent. The only thing I would like to see improved is the administration's interaction with ALL children not only the "problem" kids. There have been several instances where I've mentioned my children to administrators and I can tell they have no idea who they are. I understand that schools are more crowded than I was in school, but I always remember my principal smiling at me and greeting me by name. I don't always get a warm fuzzy feeling from the principal.
