Loving teachers, dedicated staff. Staff works hard and is very serious. Warm school, often feels like home.

Greer is a 10! The teachers are so attentive and invested in their students. Our daughter's kindergarten teacher came to meet us in our home before school even started. The principal and administration are incredible, so nurturing and impressive. The school has a high number of children from refugee families which has been such a positive experience for us. Can't say how much I love and appreciate this school!

This school has a very diverse population which might be reflected in the test scores. However a lot of what makes the school experience great can't be tested objectively. We have had great teachers, great solutions when any problem arose and overall have had a happy experience so far. And the diversity is a PLUS in my mind.

We think Greer is a fantastic school. The "Great Schools" rating system is based primarily on standardized test scores, as far as I can tell. That's only one part of the story. Greer has fantastic teachers and strong support - each teacher has an in-classroom assistant in grades K-3, and classroom sizes are in the 18-20 range. There is incredible diversity, as well - students from all over the world, which gives the kids some great experiences. There's also an excellent G&T teacher, the principal, assistant principal, and staff are excellent...in short, this place is not a "2" out of 10 - it is WAY better than that.

My daughter is soon to be a rising fourth grader. My daughter is diagnosed with ADHD. I can tell you that the teachers at Greer are marvelous. They found ways to teach my daughter despite her diagnosis, they bent over backwards, and together we created stategies for my daughter. My daughter has delt with a few bullies but I love the response from the teachers creating groups for girls to talk about their issues teaching them life long skills of problem resolving. The girls are meaner than the boys and very 'grown' but my daughter stayed ground and is succeeding!
