My experience with this school is absolutely terrible. It a terrible place and I don’t wish it on anyone else’s children. The administration only looks out for themselves. I absolutely despise this school.

I went to this school as a child and felt it was really good. I learned a lot and they had great programs. (1994-2001) My son went here for kindergarten this year and that is why I chose to give 4 not 5 stars. (2017)The school was great for him and he liked it and had a lot of school pride. I felt there was a lack of communication between teachers and parents. You get phone calls the day of or night before telling you about a certain program they are doing. No fliers from the school unless the teacher chooses to make them. My son has an IEP, and I met his IEP teacher a week before school ended. There was no communication from her and I was not able to contact her myself any time I had tried. My son was doing well according to teachers and his grades yet I was never told what he needed work on. He is my first child, who has High functioning Autism and I am clueless as to what a normal functioning kindergartener should be achieving. His IEP is very simple and makes me wonder why they never told me he was struggling with it so we could work with him on it at home. Other than these possibly picky parent issues, he learned great and excelled in math and reading.

I was a student last year. Education is bad. I was a student in this school in 5th and 6th grade. Some teachers are nice and kind while some others are not so much. The teachers will help you a little and that is also only if you want to. The worst point of this school is the education is not very good. As of with me, I was a student with grades and end of school year exam scores above the other children. I wanted to either move up a grade, or take some better classes but they wouldn't let me. Also when i moved to Boise the studies were way more effective and harder. There is a lot of competition in my present school too. The studies they taught in greenwood were equal to one grade lower in Boise.

I am a parent who is very involved in my child's education. I have spent countless hours working with my twin sons and daughter to help them excel in school. As teachers go for Greenwood, I would say that they are like any other school. You can tell if you have a good teacher by the quality of assignments that your children bring home. I think that Greenwood could try harder to give parents more notice for planned activities. I have found that this school is adequate as long as the parents get involved in the child's education.
