Both of my boys attended THRS for 5-7years! I left with a 6th and 9th grader out of state. The new administration recognized the weaknesses of the school, their commitment for continuous improvement and vision to build the school to a level of excellence was very apparent. My kids left with great work ethic, THRS taught them to be hard working, independent and decent human beings. The small environment and the family atmosphere from some very nurturing teachers really paved the way for the kids to know right from wrong. Like minded parents have certain focuses which is reflected in the kids that attend THRS. The school has a strong moral code that is encouraged and enforced. It’s like being in a big family, I see that now that we have left. The curriculum is challenging, students are given the opportunity to excel and shine if they choose to. THRS offers the ability to leave with 5 HS credits as my son did that no other school in Sugar Land or others offer, this is a major advantage for HS course selection and college applications. The maths and science departments are exceptionally strong in middle school, there is room for improvement in the upper school English and humanities departments. The fine arts department also continues to grow from strength to strength. Opportunities to partake in all sports is encouraged no matter what level. The school has also started taking part in competitions which is a great motivator for kids who want more of a challenge. If it’s a private school in Sugar Land you are looking for I recommend THRS, if you want a very challenging curriculum that tests and pushes your children then THRS is the place to be. If you want a small environment with like minded kids and NO bulling then I also recommend THRS. Both my kids left exceptionally prepared for the upcoming year, but the advantages are really realized in HS. The head of school Tom Heinly and principal Doris Quintero have worked tirelessly to take this school from strength to strength and new heights! I commend them both on their hard work and achievements that is obvious in the kids that leave so prepared for high school.

I have two kids currently at THRS and am very pleased with the school. The leadership of the school is strong and sets the tone for the whole institution. Excellent teaches and diverse student body. I feel confident my kids are developing well both socially and academically here. Go Dolphins!
