Over the last few years the school seems to have lost it's way. The President, (the old principle, Evans) has added a ton of administrative staff but done little to help improve the overall student experience. The teaching ratio is still bad and many teachers are afraid to speak up as they are afraid they'll get fired. If you complain the standard answer is "well, your kid(s) don't have to go here.." The school is definitely overtly materialistic as another poster has mentioned and school politics play a role in everything from who gets roles in the middle school play to who is selected for "A" level sports teams. All in all, not worth the money especially with great public schools around.

This community is highly competitive. The families are very materialistic and the kids are not compassionate.

This school does not properly represent Christian values from the very top down. The priest chooses not to get involved in very serious matters. The President - Chad Evans, who has very limited classroom experience and is over the Principal, struggles with the truth and maintaining a professional approach to difficult situations. His approach is more of intimidation than of looking for a fair and balanced outcome. Many parents have had to resort to recording conversations with the administration to hold them accountable. The classrooms are overcrowded (with as many as 28 in a class) versus public schools which have around 22 in a class. Text books have to be shared by students. After 7 years at this school, we chose public because we couldn't justify the expense. If you are considering this school, be sure to document and legally record meetings.

It has been a great experience being part of the school and community. My husband was not much into private education but after being there and change in leadership the school has become a great learning environment for our child. To my surprise we have been there about 10 years and now my husband would not have it any other way.

Wow! What a great school Prince of Peace has become. Mr Evans has really made a difference to this school. My family and I love how he is always in carpool greeting us each morning. The front office lady Ms. Suli is just such a delight and always makes you feel so appreciated for your volunteer work. This school is a wonderful Catholic school.
