I would rate my experience to be a 10/10. I can honestly say that everyone was very helpful and understanding of my circumstances. The staff and my instructor always helped me when I needed it and they supported me my whole journey through the program.

My daughter was enrolled in our local public school through the 6th grade. She started TTUISD in 7th and she found the work to be challenging, but loved the online format, and the flexibility in her schedule. She had been in Pre-AP courses before, and found these "regular" classes to be as difficult, if not more. The first few weeks are an adjustment period as the student, and parents, get used to this new way of doing school, but being able to go at her own pace allowed my daughter to complete three grades in two years. As a parent, I liked that she learned about time managment, how to respectfully communicate with teachers in writing, use of technology to complete coursework, the confidence to register herself and then take her final exams in a college setting, and how to find outside resources or help on her own. This is not an easy homeschool option, and may not be for everyone, but I feel this experience will help her to succeed in college because she has learned skills that are not available in the usual public school setting. I recommend that all high school students take at least one online class, even if it is supplemental, since so much of college is now online.

Do not take a class at this school. You can make 100's on all your work and fail the exam. They set you up to fail. My son has a disability and they did not follow the 504 plan for testing. For example, they have 29 true/false questions on a test out of 88 questions. If you miss all of the true/false questions, you fail the test. For someone with dyslexia and not having his plan followed, that sets them up for failure right their. No communication from the teacher after the test is given. They shut the site down right away. They have no care in the world. As long as they get their money, they don't care about you!

Do not recommend this school. Find another school. Don't let the low cost such you in. Many reasons. Lack of teacher involvement and poor curriculum. Hard to navigate website. Zero instruction. This is a course for students who can teach themselves physics and calculus and English literature. Message teachers and they often don't even know student is in their class. Teachers don't create the curriculum or the tests. Some teachers were unfamiliar with their own course curriculum. The curriculum is similar to AP curriculum in public schools without AP credit. If you have an above average child, your child may do play. If not, your child will not do well.
