The school make money off of international students and don't know how to take care of them.

The school is filthy, out dated and only interested in money. Every year they say it will get better, but don't change the staffing, curriculum, facilities or management that would lead to improvements.

The Village school has been around for 50 years. However, they have no alumni kids returning to the school where as other schools fill with alumni kids. They boast a prestigious school and pressure the students immensely, but students are not accepted into highly competitive schools. Most go to state schools. The curriculum is behind that of area public schools. There is always open spaces because so many families leave every year. Yes, some move, but more leave for other schools, including public. Each of the four schools is different. The Nursery and Middle school are well liked by parents, but still need some updates. The Elementary is not well liked by parents and their curriculum and instruction is by far the most outdated of all the levels. The school has hired a new head. While we want to be optimistic, we know that all the current directors were appointed by the previous head. It would be shock for a new head to come in and get rid of all the problem staff and make the necessary changes. The amount of change that is needed is likely not going to happen in my child's lifetime. Like most parents, we have given the school enough chances and hopes for change and each year it has been a disappointing experience. We will be moving to a new school in the Fall. I wish we had done it sooner.

Village caters to wealthy clients, as they charge top dollar for their boarding program. They market very well, but what goes on in the classroom is different. Established public schools still have some advantages in terms of hands-on programs, although Village is building more each year. If you want an IB education, Village is a safe place to get one, assuming you can afford it.

This school is only about money. The directors care about themselves and what they like. They do not care for parents. Class sizes are very big. Every year there are new staff and students. Many of us are moving to public school. The quality of education in public school is much better than the village and does not cost so much. This school is very high tuition, but not quality. There are many better American schools in the area.
