This is a great small school with lots of opportunities for college credits, travel and internships. Students come out prepared for the world! The teachers, admin and staff are caring and kind and they want to see students succeed. The student body is diverse and they thrive in this small attentive environment.

It is a myth that HAIS is a great or tolerant school. The majority of students very disruptive and disrespectful in class. School staff does not have a handle on these kids. The administration in the front office is awful and constantly loses paperwork, notes and will not assist to resolve any problem. They do not understand district policy and are rude to any parent who has any questions. The majority of the staff are also very conservative and intolerant of any student that is different. Any parents with children with different sexual orientations should not go to this school as staff is intolerant of this and will single out these kids to monitor, watch and punish making a completely uncomfortable environment for them.

Literally the worst school to ever go to. Parents write good reviews and yes its true its awesome that students get to graduate with their AA degree but it is probably one of the worst environments to be in. The office staff is HORRIBLE, they lose everything and tell you if you have any questions as a student to come to them and when you do they tell you they do not have time for you right now. Not all but some of the teachers are beyond rude. They pick on certain kids and belittle you. Which I have witnessed and heard about. HAIS is unorganized, discriminant, and just a bad high school. The atmosphere is awful and unhealthy. Some of the kids who go there are very rude and mean. I witness them disrespecting and sometimes cussing out the actually nice teachers. Do they get in trouble? No. Speaking as a student, this is an awful high school even if it is portrayed as a good one. It used to be a good high school but its really gone down. Lots of kids who go there dont like it either. Personally I am just staying for my AA degree its literally the only benefit of that school . If you like a awful environment, unorganized staff, and rude people than HAIS is for you.

Awesome school, my son is doing excellent, he enjoys going to school and he is now getting double credit for some of his classes, they will count toward his college degree. The school provides a friendly and safe environment for my son.

I would like to thank the school for providing my son with 2 wonderful years of education. My son has a positive attitude towards his school. I'm a little jealous sometimes because he rather stay after school with his teachers and schoolmates than come home. His grades tell me that he is focus on his school and I know that it takes both good parents and a good school to keep a child focus in his education. My son has two more years to go and I know that this school will keep him focus on his education.
