This elementary campus has a variety of learning opportuniites for all student needs not just during the learning and working hours but also in the before/after school programs that are offered throughout the school year. This school also has a strong (English and steadily growing Spanish) PTA that supports the staff, students, and community. *The success of any school and their child(ren) is dependent on parent involvement...it takes a village to raise a child

This school is suffering and the new principal is not helping at all. Class sizes are way too big. Teachers are given students with a large spread of varying academic levels to where they can NOT effectively challenge every single student. The above average students test out to basically teach themselves amongst a small group, the teacher works the most with the below average student due to the horrible STAAR test and the middle children are left to hopefully learn something along the way. There are very few quality teachers left and I imagine the new principal will run them off too. This school is in terrible shape, doesn't have much to offer our children at all. If you are ok with mediocre academics, then you may be happy here. If your child experiences bullying or even sexual herassment from other children, don't worry, the Principal won't even help with keeping those children out of your class the next year. Lastly, don't bother giving the Principal feedback because you are genuinely concerned about the school, academics, and neighborhood home values, because she will become offended and accusatory. The counselor has way too many children and can't keep up either. Look at the numbers :( So glad this 3 year experiment is over for my child. A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Barrington and Ms. Dowling for making the 5th grade. You two are real assets to this school and these children. I hope you are appreciated by the parents, the district and the Principal. For those looking to move here for this school, you may seriously want to look at others.

New principal Kathy Gouger is a joke and ruining all the discipline in this school. Kids are left alone after school events. She is very arrogant and disoriented lady. I never had this bad experience before in this school. Everyone feeling hopeless including teachers.

This school was amazing. We lived in the district for only 6 months of his Kindergarten year, but my son LOVED going to school. His teacher was amazing, very communicative, fun, caring, kind, and the rest of the staff was the same. After just 2 visits, they already remembered who I was each time I went and they never gave me any trouble. The school always had activities going on, from fairs to fundraisers, to raffles, and being a part of the PTA was even better. I wish we could go back to that district again.

Rated #1 in area according to newspaper. I volunteer a lot at this school. I have heard a special ed student crying as teacher guides him to class. Staff very patient. Its sad people are not tolerant of this population. Adm and office very good.
