It's time to remove principals. This school is based on who knows who. They are not consistent with agenda or rules. This school needs a new beginning. The ACT and SAT are trending down each year. The bulling at this school is at high levels. The principal will not follow guidelines or rules which has a trickle down affect. Children are effected by this principal not following. It is a true mess. Many many parents agree but won't step up for fear of consequences of some type later. It's Time to change top level at this school. It's time to go public if they chose not to change. Many Qualified leaders and teachers have left for these reasons. It must stop.

I am a former student as well. I had As and Bs in high school. I rarely had homeworks. I didnt do anything in most classes and still passed. I was very behind when I got to college and flunked out my first semester because of my bad habits formed at this school. I had to take remedial math and remedial writing/english. Some teachers are great. A lot of them are not. This school is too easy

I am a former student so I am speaking from experience. This school is a complete joke. Students, especially athletes, are allowed to turn in assignments whenever they want. It could be 7 weeks late but as long as they get it done before the end of the 9 weeks then its okay. Teachers rarely give homework unless you're in AP because most students won't do it. One teacher told me that they are afraid of failing too many students so they don't get called in. Most of my peers can't even solve a simple algebra problem without a calculator. There are some really good teachers but the majority are lazy. I've noticed that the lazy ones are the ones that came to HHS lol.

As a former student to this school i could tell you this place is horrible and i heard it got worse it seemed like all the faculty cared more about being fake police and trying to catch peiple for drugs and sending kids to om campus suspension if you try and ask a teacher for help they would jut give you sarcastic responses and most of the good teachers left got layed off or move to the freshman campus if you want your child to have a proper education dont send them to this football obsessed school send them to a. School that actually supports education

Harlingen high school. Well i went to this school for fresh/soph yr and i have to say that it was a experience i wont forget. Althletes do seem to run the school, but that doesnt mean they dont work hard in their acedemics. There are a few great teachers that really teach you the meaning of responsibility and show passion towards the students as well, as for the rest, they could care less. The band, choir, and football programs are really impressive. The spirit at this school is like nothing you've ever seen. Even though there is violence, and a whole lot of different clicks, when it comes down to it, the pride of our school brings us together. My favorite sayings 'once a cardinal, always a cardinal', and 'cardinal spirit never dies'!
