This school is awful!!!! I had second thoughts about sending my child here and I should have trusted my gut feeling. The front office staff are so rude when you call if you get them to answer. They are never willing to get answers on anything. They are not willing to help and tell you if you need to speak to a principal that you need to come to the school instead of call them. If you ask to leave a message they are unwilling to take a message. I've had to call the FWISD admin office to get answers to the questions I had because nobody was willing to find out at the school. I have not had a problem with the teachers. My child wasnt there long enough to get involved with the teachers. In the 3 weeks my child was there he had been threatened to get jumped. I really hope FWISD gets a grip and changes some things at this school. Somebody needs to do something fast before none of the future students at Jacquet MS have a chance. Its really sad!!! Get it together and help our youth have a brighter future.

I taught at this school for several years and I must say it has gone downhill fast. The school lacks order and discipline and the leadership is clueless on how to fix the problems here. Unfortunately for the students it is not a learning environment and admin says there hands are tied. The Principal allows fights to happen in front of him but will rarely get involved himself. Mind you he towers over the students and staff and could easily be a force if the kids actually respected him. It's sad but our kids will continue to fail here as long as there continues to be chaos and poor leadership.

My daughter is in 6th grade this year at DMS. She is extremely bright (straight A's & commended on state tests) & USED to love school. However, this year, things have changed. Everything was fine during the 1st semester of school, & then all went downhill. This year we have a new principal who is very unfamiliar with the demographics of our area. She has absolutely no control over discipline whatsoever! Instead of utilizing ISS or other methods, she has mandated that all students walk the perimeter of the hallways in a clockwise fashion to get from one class to another. If their next class is next door (counterclockwise), & they have to use the restroom & it's not on the way, they have to walk the perimeter around the entire floor just to use the restroom. RIDICULOUS!!! Apparently the cafeteria is crazy at lunch. Instead of getting control of the few kids that stir the crowd, they have to sit next to people they don't even know and can't sit with their friends at lunch. This is the only time they are allowed to sit and be KIDS! We feel as though they are prisoners. It's very sad that our daughter hates school and kids like her are being punished for a few that they can't control.

My granddaughter went to this school for the 7-8 grades. I loved the teachers. They pushed her and incouraged her to do better. Gave her information to advance her skills.

This school could be so much more if the right leadership was in place; however if you dream small you get small and I think that;s what they are doing.
