I have had my children at Santa Clara for 5 years. We came from a public school and I am happy we made the move. It has been a challenge financially but it has been worth it for my children’s education. I love the school.

I have had my share of experience with several different private schools because of what I do for a living and also because my aughter has attended 2 in her lifetime while my son on the other hand has gone to public school since pre-k. I have seen some excellent schools with great admins, great teachers, & overall great character buildingskills. Santa Clara fails on all three. Once you’ve experienced what an excellent or even just a good school is like & then you enter the Santa Clara Catholic Academy world.... you will see a world of difference & I believe it all starts with the head of the school. I believe that at one time many, many years ago Santa Clara did have a good administration, but since the new principal came around a few years ago this school has had so many complications that get hidden under the rug in hopes that no one will say anything. I am not the only parent to have seen this. Things happen, a kid gets a slap on the wrist & nobody says anything to the parents about what occurred. Teachers here seem miserable. Several have been caught crying & no it wasn’t because someone they knew died.. the crying was happening at different times of the year by more than one teacher. This is a very unstructured school. I can go on about my personal experience & the experience of other parents whose children went to school with my daughter, but this would be extremely long. I know that you’re looking for a good private school you can afford to put your child/ children in, but this isn’t the one. Heed my warning. There are many Dallas public & charter schools that are way better than this. Do your child a favor & look into them if you can’t afford a different private school. Go to the website & then take your child to explore the schools. You’d be surprised. Not all public schools are bad. You just have to do your research. You’ll be paying more & spending more hours at Santa Clara for volunteer hours than you would at a public school. And I know most of us don’t want to do that. We’d rather be at work or feeling useful at our children’s schools putting in volunteer hours. Just think about it real hard before you decide to send your kids or kids here.

I am a mother of 5 amazing children who have all attended Santa Clara of Assisi Catholic School since they were in Pre K-3. The school has a very good teaching curriculum and amazing teachers who love their students. This school has an amazing principle Mrs. Matous who works endless hours to bring programs and resources to ensure her students have the best!!! I love the community atmosphere at this school new or returning families everyone is treated like family. I would highly recommend this school to any parent considering a Catholic private school education! Go Knight!!!
