I just want to tell you how happy my husband and I are with our choice to enroll My daughter Judy in rock prairie school. We are very impressed with all the teachers that are taking care of Judy, especially that her mother language is Arabic, so efforts and time are touchable on Judy attendance and education. I really recommend it as the top of all around.

Awesome school! My daughter went to kindergarten here and learned SO fast! She loved this school and her teachers. The principal is awesome, very involved, even standing out front in the rain helping to direct traffic one day. She is always present and dedicated and very helpful. We would run into her in the hall when we came to pick up our daughter early, or to go to the library during the book fair, or at any number of after school activities. Teachers, staff, and principal are all terrific! My daughter got such a great start at this school!

We moved into town just this year and all I heard was rave reviews about Rock Prarie; so we got a house so our youngest could go here. Well I wish there were more comments out there than what I read on the school when I was looking for them so here's mine. To start out with, last year my son was getting A's and B's. This year he is a C/D student. I truly believe this has everything with his self esteem. He was bullied all year by a group of kids. To the point he would come home begging me to home school him. The staff, including the principle, would not respond to any of my e-mails at all throughout the year. It is two days before the end of school today and again my son was punched in the stomach. I'm not expecting to hear from them on today's incident either. I have another son that goes to the intermediate school. He was also bullied pretty bad this year but each time I heard from the teacher and the principle telling me the actions taken to resolve it. Again I want to emphasize, not one time did the Rock Prarie teachers or principle respond to Any of my e-mails of my son getting bullied. Just tells me they don't care about anything other than their school scores.

I am only writing to kindly and disrespectfully disagree with some negative comments posted here. There are actually a lot of good things to be said about this school and some of the teachers. Mrs. Bratcher (music teacher) is the most wonderful music teacher you can find! Dedicated, passionate, she does a superb job with each grade programs! The GT teacher, Mrs. Gallagher, another wonderful teacher, not just for the GT program, but also for the enrichment activities she does with all students! Sure, the teachers expect the best from the students, but how else would you have a school be rated for years in a row "exemplary" other than by working hard? I will not claim that I know all teachers (I do not), but the ones who taught or teach my child are great ones! I highly recommend The Rock! Gabriela Stoleru

I was very pleased with the school in it s entirety the first year my child attended. The second year was the worst experience bar none! My daughter went from a s and b s to d s and f s. When we brought our concerns to the teacher they were met with a bad attitude and the teacher blaming the child. We called a meeting with the principle in which the teacher did not feel confident coming alone so she brought our child s other teacher and began to tell us how it was entirely our child s fault that she was not passing. I feel I should mention all of the work was correct but not in the right form or not done quickly enough. We asked for the teacher to send us the work they would be doing in class to help her study and she flat out refused! I would not recommend this school to my enemy let alone any parent who cares about their child s capabilities and self esteem. We will be taking the issue up with the school board if the principle does not respond appropriately.
