Average experience. Most elementary school teachers were good. Some middle school teachers lack common sense. Support for students with learning differences could use improvement. Principal Graham is a very good leader and very competent.

We've been at POPCS for 9 years and love this school. The teachers are exceptional and genuinely care for the academic and character development of the students. Class sizes are below anything you'll find at public schools, which makes such a big difference. The curriculum meets state and national standards, but the teachers aren't "teaching to the test" as in public schools.

We love this school community and so do our children. POPCS has met all our expectations as a family. We extensively toured other local private schools and feel so blessed to have discovered POP. Our family looks forward to being a part of this school for many years to come.

I attended this school for 5 years. I had an epiphany and realized that this school's academics are probably the weakest in the state. I was in an advanced algebra class, and the way we took notes was coloring and cutting out paper like pre-schoolers. I moved to Jesuit College Preparatory School Of Dallas, and I've made more and better friends in 4 months at Jesuit then I had all 4 years at POP. I came back to visit at lunch a couple of months ago and was kicked out by a counselor who said to me(exact quotes) "Who let you in here? Actually I don't care. Go home you're not welcome here anymore. Go home.". The words of this administrator were very hurtful and made me feel like I wasn't welcome anymore(which i'm actually not, according to Mr. Stark). The only way that you really feel welcome and at home in this school is if you give very generous donations(which they ask for ALL the time). I would not recommend attending this school. Almost all schools in Texas are better than this one.

My daughter has been at POP for 5 years. We have really enjoyed the school as a whole. I have to say that the curriculum is really just standard. Not anything above and beyond just a solid education. Over the last 2 years they have really focused on trying to aggressively grow the school fast. So in turn they are accepting students that are disruptive and may not have been in a christian environment before. This has really changed the culture of the school. This ALSO makes it very hard to pay the steep price for something that is starting to feel like public school. Most of the teachers are parents of the students that attend the school--some of the teachers need to retire so they can bring in some new and fresh approaches to teaching. I would love to see them step up the curriculum and really offer a advanced educational program for the price. They tout a fine arts dept. and there really isn't one. They periodically do drama plays. They are of horrible quality especially for the smaller kids. In addition the drama program is an extra fee. So overall the school is just OK.
