I am a junior in high school and I can honestly say that my three years at Lake Forest were the best years of my school career so far. The family atmosphere the school has is truly it's greatest asset. The teachers care and show love to each of their students. Although frequently overlooked, Lake Forest has a great selection of clubs that are really involved in the school and community. Also, their athletics programs build strong character traits within the athletes. Overall, Lake Forest is a great school, and they deserve tremendous recognition for the school that they are.

There should be more supervision and an open line of communication regularly between the teachers and guardians/parents if the teachers notice a students grades declining or for any other issue regarding one of their students.

This school is a disgrace! Unruly children fighting, swearing, and bringing illegals substances to school constantly! I've even seen youtube videos of the fights at this school. My daughter had a problem with a bully and was almost jumped after class. I immediately went to the principal and liaison about her premeditated act and they did nothing about it except talk to her parents. I wanted to press charges after all the threats my daughter endured on school property. The same girl was in a fight 3 days later and was put in ISS for 2 days. Pathetic! To make matters worse, the mother of this child came onto school property and was using profanity at several of the children after he daughter was reprimanded. Absolutely nothing was done to this woman. LF is sweeping their growing drug problem under the rug. There have been several drug busts within the 2013 portion of school alone. Several students were caught popping pills. One girl took so many pills that she had to have her stomached pumped at the ER. The population is primarily poor and poverty stricken. Most of the children get free/reduced lunch. I can't say anything really positive except that they have a nice gym.
