I used to love our school. My teachers were THE BEST and it was fun going to class because the teachers really loved to be there and made it exciting. This year, things have changed. Teachers are grumpy, some don't come to class, they don't even pretend to like my class. We spend SO much time fundraising that we are always being pulled out of class. It stinks. Some of the teachers actually do like teaching and they get so mad when there are interruptions. I wish I felt like I was going to be ready for high school when I am done in middle. I wish I had a voice.

I am extremely blessed to work for St. Anne Catholic School. I felt like I had come home the day I started there. The school is going through a lot of grown right now and it is a wonderful thing to play a part in this community. By expanding to K-12 we are able to reach more kids and help prepare them for the future. No school is perfect, but I truly believe each and everyday that I go to work the teachers, staff, and administration want the very best for each student. I am so very proud to work for this wonderful school. My name is Diana Wilcox, I have worked for this school for 5 years and counting...If you are thinking about coming to St Anne, I encourage you to reach out and talk with me. I can tell you the many BLESSINGS I have received being here. I also encourage you to visit the school and talk with REAL people. You will get a TRUE perspective of the school.

St. Anne School has truly been a gift; more than anything it is has changed our faith as a family. The teachers and the administration model the faith every day and really work hard to develop the whole child. The academics have always been rigorous and pushed my children to reach their full potential. I've watched my own children grow and thrive in ways that I couldn't have imagined. Teachers have discovered their (sometimes hidden!) gifts and encouraged them to follow their passion. Better yet, my children have felt safe enough to pursue those passions without fear of being ridiculed. The kids are really supportive of each other and encourage them to branch out and try new things. St. Anne is a community in every sense of the word and has blessed us in ways that I never expected. I feel a part of the community and appreciate the constant communication from my child's teacher as well as the administration. As a working parent, I often feel stretched very thin, but the thorough communication we receive helps to keep me "in the loop" and feel connected to the community even when I can't be on campus. I'm sure there have been growing pains with the expansion to a K-12 school, but I haven't felt it as a parent and am thrilled that my kids have the opportunity for a "start to finish" Catholic education.

For those looking into St. Anne’s for the 2018-19 school year, I urge you to do your research. Don’t be fooled by the idea that your child will receive a superior education because it is a private Catholic school. Read the negative reviews, do your homework, ask questions! Realize that this was once a great school with a very rigorous academic program, a school that encouraged parent input and whose high academic standards were something to boast about. Unfortunately, the current leadership managed to make many decisions regarding the future of the school without discussing it with the parents. As any effective leader will tell you, parents are the backbone of any good education. Parent involvement is crucial for a school to succeed. It not only restores parents' confidence in their children's education, it improves the overall attitude of the staff and students. Instead, calls or emails go unanswered and requests for things as simple as needing to know when your elementary aged child will be having a test are ignored. I can say that I truly have no idea what goes on during the day in this school. Some days my kid will have a test with no prior warning, some days my child’s science teacher won’t show up, and some days when you are expecting a certain activity, it will just be cancelled out of nowhere. One thing you can definitely count on though is that you will be asked for monetary donations constantly! I feel as though I’m trapped inside of a mean girl’s movie. We are counting down the days for this nightmare to end. Once we made the decision to not enroll my children next year and for my 8th grader to not attend the St. Anne’s High School, we were disowned from the school. True to form, St. Anne’s is making sure my child is reminded daily that it was the wrong decision to make. The kids that have committed to stay are given special treatment. They’ll randomly have pizza and soda at lunch, given full shadow days that are not counted as absences and much more. What a way to promote unity and support for our 8th graders before the end of their time as middle schoolers! Please prayerfully consider your decision to have your children attend this school.

What was a once a strong K-8 school is now a mediocre-at-best K-12. Middle school in particular is lacking in quality and consistency, specifically in Math and Science, since the High School opened. Academic standards and rigor have fallen off dramatically in a short amount of time. Teacher turnover is a major red flag.
