I attended red bank for elementary school for k-5 and I wouldn't wish the experience upon any other human being. Even now, 4 years later, the school has only gotten worse. Students who struggle receive no extra help and are simply passed on to the next grade whether or not they've learned anything, setting them up for failure in middle and high school. There are no resources for advanced students. The library is understaffed and underfunded. All focus is on the Spanish immersion program (where students who have yet to master basic knowledge of math, science, or history are forced to attempt to do so in a foreign language) and technology that would be better put to use with older students. Bullying is a major issue but the school puts up a front of happiness, tolerance, and friendliness. Many teachers are rude to both students and parents and are VERY unskilled in their own subject areas. Students coming from this school are unprepared to face consequences or tackle difficult issues.

This school lets kids have fun while learning and gives kids ways to do the right thing when they become adults.

Red Bank Elementary is a wonderful school so far......I love the partial immersion classes they offer....they have a great system in place to keep track of all students...from the bus, car rider or pick up and drop off.........It is easy to talk to the teachers too.

I have two kids that go to school at Red Bank. Teachers are hard to work with. Employees are proud and arrogant. They can't figure out how to do anything right. Very displeased.

Lexington District One is the best district in the area, and Red Bank Elementary is the best school in all of Lexington District One. I have had children at Gilbert Elementary and White Knoll Elementary, and they are great schools too, but RBE is the best! RBE has a Spanish Immersion program and RBE is the school in Lex. 1 that is the pilot for the RISC model, a new way of teaching that engages the children-it's a revolutionary approach in which students are the navigators-it's really awesome. RBE also utilizes technology and integrates it into the learning process, and they have a radio show that one of my daughter's is on. My oldest daughter has grown so much personally since she has been going to RBE. She has been on the A honor role every year since she began. I have never had one problem with any of her teachers, and they are all very loving and caring. Once I did have another student bully my daughter, and the assistant principal put a stop to it immediately. The principal is an excellent role model. This school is great!!!!
