We have been fortunate to have both of our sons enrolled at Carver for their elementary years. The teachers and staff have all been wonderful! Everyone goes out of their way to make Carver a wonderful place to learn. The new principal, Chris Rogers, has done a fabulous job increasing technology available to all students throughout the school. Carver has always kept us informed on happenings in the school and most importantly, the successes and academic functioning of our children. Our oldest son is finishing the 4th grade this year at Carver and we are all sad to see the end of his Carver days. I would highly recommend Carver to all parents and students, as the warm, nurturing environment is evident in classrooms throughout the school. Carver is A++++ in our book!

Yes, carver may be a good school but not for kids with a learning disability. Every since my son began attending that school from kindergarten to 2nd grade he has had problems. Yes some of his teachers were actually concerned but I feel that the school did not do all they could have done for his issue. I am now homeschooling and he is now on target and where he should be. If youre child is smart and has no learning disability then yes this would be a good school, but if they have a learning disabilty and need an extreme amount of assistance and work, then I suggest you take them somewhere else.

I'm raising/raised four children in two states and we've experienced both good and mediocre schools over the years. I've been really pleased with Carver from the standpoint of the curriculum, quality of teachers and administration. I was warned about how deficient SC schools would be, but this was definitely not the case with Carver, which seemed to compare well with other top public schools in our experience. Although the environment is not competetive, and the resources are a little short, my children have had an excellent education there in a nurturing environment and did well.

Carver offers a caring and organized foundational education for its students. I have had a child there for six years and value the experience for my family.
