I have a foster son that came to me half way through the school year. He started at the Providence public school and it was a disaster. So I turned to my parish which has a parochial school (which I won't name) and it was clear that they didn't want him. He was entering the 8th grade and he had struggled in the 7th grade, so all they could see was a potential problem. Even though I went to daily Mass at that parish, the school didn't have a place for my son... it didn't feel right. The awful thing is that they didn't want to tell me no, so they just dragged out the process for months hoping that I would just go away. Then I called St. Thomas and it was completely different. I immediately had a response from the principal, and was talking to the 8th grade teacher on the phone the next day. Looking at their STEAM program which is both great for the sciences and the arts, it won me over immediately. With a class size of 10:1 I know my son won't be allowed to sit in the back of the room and fail the 8th grade because nobody cared. I'm so excited to see my son get a chance to excel at an amazing faith based school. I feel like they took a chance and really expressed what a Catholic school should be about. I think in the past few years the staff has worked hard to overhaul the school and take it to the next level. I think it have a very promising future ahead.

My children attend St. Thomas and they LOVE it!! They love their teachers and the great friends they have made there. My children can't wait to go to school everyday. I tell everyone I know about St. Thomas. It is a hidden jewel. They are a STEAM school and both of my children love the project based learning. Check them out. You will LOVE it too!!!

Our family has been part of the St. Thomas community for only two years now, but we could not imagine a better place for our children. The faculty and staff are such kind, loving, and knowledgeable people who truly go out of their way for each student. Mrs. DiMuccio is as great of a principal as we could hope for. She is involved in all the students' daily lives. At STR it is a great honor that we as family members are given so many opportunities to be part of our children's academic experiences. This school is a great start for our children educational path.

I currently have two children enrolled at Saint Thomas. I have had the pleasure of working with the teachers and staff over the past three years and cannot say enough great things about the school. The teachers push the students to do their best at all times and my children couldn’t be happier! This year our school was blessed to have our principal named principal of the year. What an honor! Glad that our children have a wonderful place to call “home!”
