Fr Holland Catholic School Ratings & Reviews

My two children attend Fr. Holland and I have been very impressed with the staff, academics, and atmosphere. The teachers are wonderful and the curriculum is challenging. What I like most about this school is the sense of community that exists - families are encouraged to become involved with all aspects of their child's education. Catholic values are intertwined throughout the lessons and a strong moral foundation is provided that coincides with what we teach at home. This is a small, safe school with an excellent reputation, where every student, teacher, and parent is looking out for one another. I could not be happier with my decision to send my children to Fr. Holland.

My son went to Fr Holland for 2 years. Unfortunately, compared with the public schools in town, the education was inferior and he was behind in all academic areas except Math. The Principal, Shawn Capron, has a tendency to favor students, especially if the parents question any decision, albeit right or wrong, that she makes. Your child will bear the brunt of her wrath if crossed, even if it had once been a pleasant relationship. The Preschool, K and Grade 1 teachers are better than upper grades. Inconsistent academic education. Phys. Ed and the Arts are non-existent as well. Ordering out on Friday's from the same location for hot lunch was a poor substitute for meals, as they were the same every week. I would not recommend this school for anyone in Grades 4-8.
