This school use to be a gem in Franklin County. Over the past few years, Waynesboro has become one of (if not the) worst schools in the county. This is due to changes in administration at all levels. The current administration does not care about the low moral of students or staff. They ask for the opinions of the community, students, and staff then completely disregard it. The school has experienced a large turn over in staff (this is for all staff from seasoned veterans to brand new hires leaving the next year). Local colleges are telling their graduates not to apply here. I would not encourage anyone to move into this district.

This is my first semester at Wanyesboro area senior Highschool. I came from Baltimore , Maryland to this school. I must say I haven't experience this much racism in my life until I went to this school. They do not like black people like that at all. Idk how many time I've heard racial slurs in this school. I really hate this school with a passion, these teachers act like they don't hear these slurs . They just sit there & let them say it. & it's really hard to get help with work because these teacher are mostly unavailable . They need coach classes or something . I came to this school with A's & B's I really not trying to fail. Ugh I just need this quarter & then ima try & prove to my parents I need to transfer. This school & atmosphere is said already they don't really like multi cultural people. & it's said by some of the teachers there self they are racist up there too. Soo i mean .... Also it's hard making friends here , a lot of times I don't have partners to work with . Teachers have to assigned me one because nobody will pick me or they would say no.

I have only had a good experience with just a SMALL handful of teachers that were encouraging and took the time to help. Some would say at the beginning of the 1st semester that they are willing to stay after to help you, but they are pretty much unavailable and blame you for not doing well and dont bother to help. I was not a struggling to pass student but occasinally did need the extra assisatance. They don't keep very good track and let you fall behind easily though. You could be thinking you are going to be getting a B or possibly C and the progress reports come out (late mind you) and you are failing and need to make it up within a very short peroid of time with difficult projects. The programs are boring. The temperature was never regulated to provide a good atmosphere for learning.
