excellent. I and my children and grandchildren have attended Wash. High (Prexie Pride!) and value their foundational education.

I am a former Student and I would highly recommend Washington High School. If Job location wasn't an issue I would absolutely send my children there. Wash High offers many different activities for students making sure that they can be involved in all. As for the bullying, My time with Wash High (elementary to graduation) I didn't see it. I felt that everyone got along, you weren't judge by how much money you made or what activities you where a part of. The only thing that keeps Wash High from getting the recognition it so desperately deserves is the small district area and the lack of funds. Trinity and other surrounding schools have many large corporations, upper class home owners and other school tax paying advantages where as Washington School District is made up of mainly middle to lower class homes, mom and pop businesses and W&J college that does not pay taxes to benefit our district. They lack the Funds of Trinity, but can absolutely compete with out curriculum because Wash High is furnished with some outstandingly dedicated teachers who love their job. If more community support was given instead of unfactual criticism this school would be a 10!

As a student, I can say that Wash High has done what it is supposed to do; the school district has given me a very good education, in a great environment, by qualified instructors and guides. Despite renovations (which started in the year 2010), we students are unhindered in our education. I cannot see why Wash High has gotten a poor reputation from the community, because, frankly, it's great. In short, the academics have prepared me more than adequately for my future, the social and environmental atmosphere is simply beneficent, and the staff-persons are comfortable for individual needs and well-qualified for their positions.

I would like to say great things about this school, but I was looking at websites because of our upcoming move, I thought this would be a good start, however, the lady who answered the phone did not have clearly have the mission of the district Washington School District, provides a caring and supportive learning community in which members challenge and motivate each other to become proficient, honorable citizens and productive life-long learners, in mind. Washington School district is now not on the list of to send my children too.

I am a mother of 3 children who have attended Washington School district from Elementary thru graduation (our last child will be graduating 2011) Their school experience was wonderful and they would not have changed a thing. The teachers offered close attention, advanced classes-college prep classes and went and go beyond their school time hours with after school support if needed. Not only are the advanced student attended to but all others that fall in between. As for activities such as sports and band...our school allows a child to be involved in several activities...not limiting them to one sport or choose between being in sports or band...as the teachers and instructors work well together to be sure we have well rounded students. Our parent involvement is also wonderful...Prexie Pride runs many generations. So if you are moving into our wonderful town, come interview our school, you will be impressed
