I am writing to recommend St. Peter the Apostle School. My daughter attende this school fro Pre-K through the 8th grade. I want to commend the school for the education she received. It prepared her for high school and gave her the skills she would need for the workforce. She is a well rounded individual who appreciates and respects cultures other than her own. She cares about those less fortunate and this goes back to the religious and moral education she received at St. Peter's. I would like to thank Sr. Rose and all of her teachers who touched our lives in so many ways. St. Peter's is not just a school but an extended family.

This is the WORST school to send your child to. The principal yells at the children for everything, the teachers barely pay attention, Ms. Bartley (the fifth grade teacher) does nothing but talks about her problems more instead of educating the students, and the seventh grade teacher acts more like your friend than a teacher. Ms. Meck (the sixth grade teacher) specifically I feel has the most dirtiest classroom in the whole school. The principal is just plain out rude. One of my nieces got kicked out because the principal thought she wasn't good enough for the school. She didnt even give my niece a chance to stay there ! But Dont be surprised if she does this to one of your children. She might be a nun and apart of the parish but she does not act like a nun. THIS IS A BAD ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR CHILD. YOU WERE WARNED!!!!!!

My son was a student at St. Peters and I am so glad he is no longer there, should have pulled him out sooner. The principle is extremely rude, and has the worst disposition as one of the leaders at the school. The teachers, are not very informative. This is not a good school for your childs self esteem, there is something not right at the school, not sure but glad my son is in a more caring, activity based school. This school, is a total disaster and would not recommend sending your child or grandchild.

I think that the school is a great school, my only concerne is that the 5th grade teacher gives out to much homework. The kids are in school from 8 am till 245 pm and then to do homework for 2 to 3 hours is a bit much. Writing for 2 hours at home is a bit much. Again the school is great, but lets not burn the kids out. Thanks

I attended St. Peter the Apostle School and graduated in 1990. When I arrived to Philly from Puerto Rico in 1980, I began St. Peter's. I started the first grade and I didn't speak any english and I remember my teacher (which is now the principal) had a lot patience with me. So now 2 of my children attend St. Peter's, and my oldest one graduated this June 2010 and is now at Roman Catholic High School. I know there was no doubt in my mind to send my kids there. Sr. Rose was always there to help us and so where the teachers. It was like having your own family there to help. They know who everyone is by first and last name and what grade, how they're in doing class. The teachers and principal want every child to do their best and they are to make sure they are.
