Hershey High School Ratings & Reviews

I graduated from Hershey High School and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I was NOT spoiled, snotty or rich and I still enjoyed every second I spent at this school. I didn't appreciate the education I received until I began college and saw my peers who were not as fortunate as I was to attend such an outstanding school. The education I received was a cut above the rest!! The teachers, staff and administration were supportive, encouraging and student-centered. If you are considering a move to Hershey, it is a fantastic place to grow up as a child and a superb academic atmosphere for students.

I rated this School purely on the academics. The Kids that go to the school are spoiled, snotty and have their little "cliques" to which new kids entering have a hard time adjusting & making friends. These kids need to realize that Mommy and Daddy didn't always have money to throw away on them, they actually had to work & probably still work very hard for the money they earn. They should all be charitable and hospitable when they see new kids come in and make them feel comfortable & accepted. No-one knows what others have been through in their lives, but to be a good human, you don't need money, you need heart, a good personality and a good and gracious attitude. Don't push good kids away just because they are new or different or YOU don't think they fit in to YOUR standard or class of people, help lift them up, not bring them down, besides, it's not YOUR money that makes YOU any better than anyone else, it's your parent's money and you all should learn some appreciation & humility for being blessed to have more than most, but I promise you, no mater how much a family has or hasn't, you can bet they are hard working, responsible have good values & teach that to their children!

I am current student and this school is the best. Everyone thinks that we will be snobs as we go to Hershey but it is far from it. We have great education, sports and clubs, but we are only a public school-we still have some problems. Not horrible ones that usually make the news, just normal ones - some teasing, bullying, the usual. People who move here are accepted quickly and easily as other people move away. All in all - GREAT school.

This is a super school. Everyone receives a great education - if they want it.

We were new to the district in 2007. I chose Hershey SD because of the amount of new students here. Both of my children were welcomed by other students and found new friends within a few months of starting school. The teachers are good but no better than in most suburban schools. There are great choices in classes and extra-curricular activities including both sports and the arts. Because many of the students are competitive and want to attend a very good college, it can be hard to get a spot in some areas like the musical. (Often impossible to get in your freshman year)
