Excellent education based on Christian beliefs and a solid moral foundation.

“Principal” is not properly credentialed. What should be private information is NOT kept private. Preferential treatment to certain families. Do not follow their own rule book. Very legalistic. Our children struggled educationally after transitioning to a better school. They struggled spirituality following the actions of the “christian leaders” at HCA

I went to this school from preschool to eighth grade so hear me out. I am now a senior in high school and looking back at it I realized how messed up this school is. Send your kid to this school if you want to lock them up in a fishbowl for their entire childhood. Set your religious expectations in your own household. There are plenty of good kids for your child to make friends with in public school. Let your child decide what friends they will make and what life path they will go on with YOUR parental guidance. My parents sending me to this school did nothing for me but put me behind in education and have only a handful of friends. I could not excel in anything even if I wanted to. The teachers told us the world was "demonic" beyond the school borders and we should feel blessed we go to Hillcrest and not public school. I believed it because that is what I was told all my life. Eventually my parents and many others realized how messed up the situation was and pulled me out of it. I was scared at first but then realized HOW successful and great I excel in public school compared to Hillcrest. And I have not lost my faith, in fact I got some of my friends in public school saved. I feel bad for the kids in my grade still there. The longer you stay, the worse it gets. The last time I saw them they were very, very socially awkward. It was almost scary.

They do not follow their own disciplinary actions when it comes to mouthy children who do what they want, do not listen to any authority, they do not put kids in detention when they should be, you are not helping them by not following your guidelines . There is a child in in this school who lies about everything all the way down to every person they come in contact with in that school to even the bus driver. The child says kids are picking on them all time, they don’t contact parents when its important, they make false reports. Christian based but do not explain to kids what it means not to steal or lie or what will happen to them even as adults when they do this, this child feels, they don’t do nothing at school, so why should they even listen at home. They have special needs kids in their classes and they are not getting the attention they need and deserve to become productive in this society. Even if the child is smart, if they constantly are lying that should tell you , this is a child that has a problem with any type of authority, but instead of helping the parents, other parents judge them as if they can do better, mean while we are told you kids are the ones picking on the other kids. the fundraisers, make no sense, how can you make people pay for all their supplies, the plus go there and then do fund raisers that do not help with the students tuition, how fair is that. people do not want to do fund raisers that are not going to benefit their child’s education.

The focus in this school is more towards religion than it is academics. Yes, it is a Christian school, but it is still a school. The academic rigor is subpar at best and children are coddled and spoon-fed rather than challenged academically. The hope is that these children will stay in the school K-12 and this is done by appeasing parents and letting children get away with whatever they please. The principal before the current "stand in" was not fit for the position. He had trouble managing students and parents. I don't even believe that the current "stand in" principal has principal certification. I'm not even 100% sure that every teacher there is even a certified teacher. However, being a private school, they can hire whomever they would like to fill positions. Do your child a favor and look elsewhere.
