Horizon Christian Elementary & Middle School Ratings & Reviews

We have enrolled all three of our kids at Horizon Christian School. We could not be more thrilled with the experience they have had thus far. Our kids have come out of a great public school environment that was rich with opportunity. While our kids did well in that environment, the piece that was missing for us was a Christ-centered foundation and class sizes that enabled our kids to be supported. Our kids are thriving in their new environment academically, socially, athletically, and most importantly, spiritually. I can certainly understand where some of the negative feedback may come from, however, I have yet to find a perfect school that meets every need perfectly. We are grateful for the experience our kids are having and will continue to work to do our part as supportive parents.

This school provides an extremely toxic environment for any child who is very smart, independent thinker, and has natural leadership abilities. The teachers we are dealing with are unfit and unable to communicate with parents at all!!! The principal and admin staff treat children and parents very disrespectfully!!! Unless your child is a robot who obeys blindly without any kind of an independent thought process, who doesn't mind being disrespected and emotionally damaged, DON'T send your child to this school!!!!!!!! We are taking our child out of this school!

If sports is more important to you then education the horizon is the place for you. I attended horizon and at first loved it but then realized that they took at least 10 mins out of each class to talk about sports not a good education!!!! I came here to get a better education. Also they only have 12 computer and not enough desks for every student. I suggest to you do. Or go her!

The students are loved and know it, it's educationally strong, and doesn't feel like many private schools, my kids don't feel like they have to keep up with the "Jones' ".

With about 320 students, our impact is big. The mission of school is not only to educate the minds but to ignite the hands and heart to do good. Look for opportunities to help others. Our principal has a steady flow of kids entering her office to set up school wide service projects in our area and abroad. From leaf cleaning the yards of neighboring homes, collecting stuff animals for foster kids, to raising money for wells in Africa. It's amazing what can be accomplished when you have a community of people with a big heart for others. Last year Horizon initiated over fifty projects. The rippling affect of that is huge. I am so great full my kids will be educated in a community of selflessness.
