My son attends Woodlawn. It is one of the best things to ever happen to him. The special ed program is wonderful.

My children attend Woodlawn and they are doing well. I see a sincere involvement in their lives from their teachers. I am happy that my children get the experience of having an African American teacher, which is very rare, especially in the changing community. I am called by name by staff and my children and I feel welcome. There have been instances where I needed to address kids bullying them may twice but, the response I got from the staff was that of concern, and they were sincere in their approach. It was resolved to my liking. Go Wildcats!

Simply a bad school, where teachers care less for the future generation....it is almost like the teachers are setting up the kids for failure. I don't understand and am sure no one will, why teachers give prize to students for attendance, and turning in book log (three to four lines...). Prizes such as toys and doughnuts for 3rd and 4th grade students. What an abdication of responsibility. Here are students with backpack with nothing in it...it is really sad.

My daughter was bullied on a daily basis by staff and students the environment just was safe for her and she's struggled in her learning so she's three years behind! The principal and half the staff are jokes!

I love Woodlawn and more importantly my son LOVES Woodlawn. It really hurts to hear such bad things being said here and else where about our beloved school. We are a working class community that has really come together because of our love for the children, all of them! We are the only public school in all of Portland that serves our SPED community K-8th! We are a growing vibrant community! We are W-O-O-D-L-A-W-N!
