In the 13 years I have been in this community I have seen many changes but many constants including: Strong support to my student with a learning difficulty. vibrant and energetic parent community, involved and dedicated teachers. I love this school!

A lot of the metrics listed on this site are misleading and don't do justice to this school due to its uniqueness compared to regular public schools, both due to the fact it is a K-12 school that is very small and because of its different approach to learning. Trillium follows a teaching philosophy that is experiential and student-led, focused on creating whole, critically-thinking persons, rather than test-takers. Our family has two kids at Trillium, one in the pre-K program and another in the lower school and both have thrived in the small-school atmosphere (the student:teacher ratio is excellent) and have benefited from more creative and child-centered approach to learning that Trillium offers. We have also found the school to be an incredibly supportive environment socially, particularly for kids that are LGBTQ+ or who have special needs.

This is the school where I've been the happiest at as a teacher. I have seen my students grow into fluent Spanish speakers because of their high commitment to learning the language, and the strong collaborative atmosphere makes for a very rich High School experience.

Terrible! My son is attending another school with better academics and programs and it took a lot of support and work at home to help him catch up to current academic standards. Socially he is still adjusting from the bullying and unsupportive environment he had experienced while at Trillium. As a involved parent I am disgusted by the lack of care and the extreme ignorance to community input displayed by the President of Trillium's school board and the Principal of the school. They are not open for discussion when it comes to input from parents or teachers, and are definitely not accountable for their actions as so called leaders. I would not recommend this school to any parent, and I am sympathetic to the students who are still attending this school. The saddest part is that it could have the potential to be a good school for kids who need more personalized support and attention, but it will never be allowed to grow into such a place under the current leadership, in my opinion.

(From 2014 to the present) I would not recommend the school to anyone!!! Even my child (despite having friends there since kindergarten and extreme social anxiety) recognized the unacceptable academic standards in the middle school program, saying that he needed to go to a different school to get a good education.
