Sacramento Elementary School Ratings & Reviews

Very good. Teacheres are knowledgeable and compassionate. Communication is strong between teacher and parent.

I can't speak to the past, but our relationship with Dr. Barrett, the new principal, has been excellent. She made positive changes in the last half of last school year--the facility is much neater, and the atmosphere is very positive. Sacramento is under excellent new leadership, so don't judge it on past reviews.

I agree, Sacramento is not a horrible school. Many of the teachers at the school are wonderful. My only complaint would be the lack of volunteers. The school needs more parent volunteers. I also realized that my own expectations about what elementary school would be like for my child needed to change and that connecting with the teacher vs waiting for the teacher to connect with me really made a difference in how involved I felt in my child's education.

Sacramento Is not a horrible school. The teachers at the school are wonderful and my daughter enjoys going to school every day. I will admit that I have had to curb my own expectations about what elementary school would be like for my child. Perhaps part of that is because of the decisions regarding the learning environment made by the administration. That being said, my child is happy, she's learning, and I will supplement her education and experiences outside of school.

Sacramento Elementary is a horrible place for children to get their education. While most of the teachers there are great people, they are not allowed to be the teachers they could be because of a micromanaging dictator administrator. Parents, community members and teachers have cried out to the district for their dislike of the principal and the district refuses to listen to them. They have given a fair chance for the principal to prove she can be a leader that Sacramento wants and needs, but she has proven over an over again to not be a good fit for this district. She thinks she is diverse and that students, parents, and faculty like her but the truth is that she is not respected amongst any of these groups and is closeminded and legalistic in her approach with people. There is a serious leadership crisis when the leader thinks they are great and everyone around them thinks otherwise. It is horribly sad that the superintendent and the school board are not listening to their people.
