My child has gone here and now she's in fifth grade and she doesn't want to leave at the end of the school year. There are so many teachers we know and they are loving and they try there best to make sure every kid is at the top of his or her grade. I can't believe how amazing this school is. If anyone asked me what elementary school was the best I would say Hogan Cedars. All the way all the time. Our school motto is "on time and ready to learn" the teachers have fun and learn also! ;0)

The staff is kind, as helpful as they can be, and my son loved going here. He went to this school all the way through and received a very poor education. The class sizes are too large making it impossible for the teacher to focus on the each childs needs. Certain grades switch teachers on and off so in the middle of the week the teacher changes which always threw my son in a loop. Then, agreeing with a previous post, they expect your child to learn at there own pace and send them home with hours of homework. My child would dread homework because it was just so overwhelming. I did my best to tutor my son by spending an hour a day on homework and 1 hour a day working on reading (including weekends) and he is still very behind. He is now in middle school, looking at being held back at least once, has the reading level of a third grader, and the school did not once advice me to hold him back. He was just pushed through. I will top off by saying that I know even other children in my sons class struggled the same. My son was in the Title One reading group. Literally, his entire class but five kids were in there with him some even worse off than my son.

My daughter has been going to this school since kindergarten. She is now in third grade. She loves this school. The teachers here don t act like it s just another day at work. They actually care about the students and their progress.

Both of my children attend here. I could not ask for better teachers and staff. What a wonderful school in all aspects.

My daughter has attended Hogan Cedars since Kindergarten and is now finishing up 2nd grade. The commitment and dedication from the teachers is one of strengths of the school. The teachers work together to help all students succeed which allow them to work smarter, not harder! I am very pleased with the progress my daughter has made and feel she will be right on track for state testing next year. The only thing I wish there was more of at Hogan Cedars is community building. I realize that school is about educating children, however, I feel that a lot of opportunities to build community with students and their families helps strengthen education.
