CVHS is a great school. All of my classmates are good people who have treated me with so much kindness. The teachers always make an effort to get to know their students, while also helping them stay on top of their grades. There's a club for everything- including a Vegan/Vegetarian Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Volunteering Clubs, and even a club where they just eat potatoes. The list goes on & on, so you can always find a community that you love. There are so many classes offered that you are sure to find the ones you want and need, and with the added option of taking a bus to the other high school in town (CHS) for a class, a student's opportunities are boundless. I've loved my time at CVHS, and I'm very sad to be moving away after 2 years. Nothing could ever compare.

Freshman registration was not a user-friendly, helpful process. After four trips to the counseling office, my student ended up with two languages and a recommendation to take a PE class in the summer. CV does not offer chemistry to freshmen students even though the cross-town high school does; not starting off on the right foot.

Diverse learning opportunities - from environmental sciences, engineering & AP sciences; math from calculus, geometry, trig & AP calc. Arts include state award winning choir, band & orchestra, with combined high school and university performances; theater drama & musicals with both high schools and community theater groups. Fine arts include drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry, glass, & more; digital & film photography, & videography. Language Arts has strong standards and focus can include Creative Writing, Lit, and several AP and Honors classes. Social Studies has US History, Government, and AP studies in History and US Gov & Politics. World Languages include 4 years of Spanish (including AP) & French - and German. Computer Science and Business offerings are available, including Beginning Programming, Web Design, Business Management, Business Law and experience in the Student Store. In addition, there are activities, clubs, sports, and everything else that adds to the great culture at CVHS! It is one reason there are teachers who commute from Eugene and Salem, 60+ miles round trip, to teach here! As one student stated, I just didn t know how good CV was until !
