I went to school here all four years. Before I even started I joined a sports team. I saw how encouraging and personable each coach was (even on the other sports teams). Teachers encourage Freshman to ask questions and are very lenient the first week of school to help combat the stressfulness of starting at a new school. Teachers maintain their relationships with their students throughout the years, and generally encourage them to return and visit. Many teachers are willing to hang out and talk during their free periods. It makes South more like a family when students and teachers can connect on a personal, and respectful level. Many teachers treat students as if they were their own children. The staff is very involved in school events such as football games, basketball games, theater performances, pep rallies, and much more. It is the most diverse school in the district, and also has the International Baccalaureate program so people of many different races, backgrounds, ethnicities, and from all over the world go to class together each day. I would not choose any other high school in Westerville to attend if I had to go through it again. Westerville South High School is really a perfectly well-rounded school.

We've had students in Westerville North and South over the years between 2010 - present 2016. South is BY FAR the better. Westerville South has great diversity in student population. The teachers sincerely want students to succeed and work with parents to that end.The Arts (choir, band, theatre) give students great experience and friendships while clubs like Key Club are actively serving the school and the public. We love Westerville South!

So I just recently graduated from this school and yes it has some sever issues regarding arguments and fights. I do have to say though, all you have to do is get past the hardships of freshman year and do well so you get put in the higher level programs. Those teachers care and actively interact with their students. Yes there are teachers that don't care there, and believe me i have had a few, but overall i loved going to the school and it is just how your student decides to make the experience.

I attended this school for 4 years. I appreciated the diversity of the school. The school building itself could use some updating, but the students and teachers were generally lovely. There were some lackluster students, but they were usually dealt with.
