Awful. As the father of a divorced household, the school has hurt my relationship with my kids. My ex refuses to give me any school papers and the superintendent blew me off when I told him I want to be active in my kids lives. I have tried for three years now to be active but to no avail. It should not be this hard. I feel very ostracized. For a Christian school, I expect more. I would be treated better at a public school. That is sad. I definitely do not refer this school to my family and/or friends.

Toledo Christian does not have an anti- bullying policy. I believe the wording used was " we do not function under a no tolerance policy. Here at TC we believe in creating a student culture where bullying is dealt with by the students and hopefully there will eventually be a student body with no bullying." If your student is bullied the administration's policy at TC is to deny all claims and victimize the student who reported the bullying. upon transferring to Central Catholic we found TC academics to be lacking. However, CCHS was amazing and worked with our child who within a few weeks qualified for AP classes. Our child's GPA did a dramatic drop as a result of the Bullying she was forced to endure, now has a much higher GPA, was on the honor roll the entire school year, and is excelling in every way possible since leaving TC. TC also continues to deny and lie about bullying not only to the actual student who was bullied and parents, but also to the OHSAA to ensure that the bullied student will be forced to sit out of sports for 1/2 a season at the new school. All be it sad, this was not a shock as TC has already made it clear that they do not have Christian values. If your child enjoys sports as part of the HS experience this is not the school for them. Students are not required to behave with any amount of enthusiasm, respect, sportsmanship, or support for their team. The concept of dedication and responsibility to your team is completely foreign at TC. This was only reinforced after we left TC and our child joined an amazing team with the best group of supportive students you would ever want your child to be a part of. With all that said, when our child was a middle school student at TC, she did have good experiences with many of the teachers and staff as well as a very select few HS teachers. In closing, this school has already had very bad, public, instances with bullying / hazing and still does not abide by the widely accepted no tolerance policy when addressing reports of bullying. The students are well aware that there are no repercussions and act accordingly. According to the CDC there are 4,400 Teen Suicides per year. Victims of Bullying are 2-9 times more likely to consider suicide. I was not about to allow my child become a statistic as a result of Toledo Christian Schools horrific policy or lack there of.

Contrary to previous review there is no anti-bullying policy. What they have is a link that they do not use and the students who need it do not know about. The bullying is extreme and intense to put it lightly. Students have been forced to leave the school due to the bullying. Being a Christian School parents put their children in this school and let their guard down as it is claimed to be a "Christian" school. However, the bullying and verbal torture of some of the kids is just not fully expressible here. The teachers and administration not only turn a blind eye but intensify the torment by focusing on uniform compliance and if these same kids that are being bullied and harassed are wearing the right color socks. They seem oblivious to the uniform compliance of the bullies as the same kids do not adhere to the regulations day after day.

Excellent teachers, strong academics focused around a Christian curriculum. Teachers invest and pour into the students. Athletics and fine arts along with small class sizes are just a few of the positives. Improved facilities, featuring a new gym and upgraded technology helps the students achieve their academic goals. I have 3 kids at the school and would not send them anywhere but TCS! 98% of the HS students go on to pursue a 4 year degree.Check it out!
