Teachers show favoritism and if they don't like your child he will be labeled as a problem child. Administration sends mixed signals and will suspend your child without any documents. Prob a decent school just not for kids with attention deficit

this school only cares about the money , they dont truely care about the students they put on a good show for the public but truth is it is full of favortism and so forth, if a child is a child who gets good grades but goes through traumatic experiences they dont care they are quick to kick a child out instead of saving the child , they let children fall through the cracks, and if a favorite student says anything about another student that student does not stand a chance.my dearest friends son who is now a senior and joined the army was going through alot of traumatic situations and instead of leaving him in school and working with him even after the chances they gave him they kicked him out his senior year ..they gave up on him... he had one rough year compared to all the time spent there and they kicked him out. he also had a female and another student constantly say this and that about him and of course they were believed instead of seeing the whole story even after several students wrote the mother saying it wasnt fair and he was done wrong and not all of it was his fault but nope they didnt get rid of both of the students just the one.... its a sad shame that my friend had to go through this and her son as well. a school that kicks out a child based on rumors and etc is a school that doesnt care . anyone of the favorite students can yell and scream that they are a victim and the sad part is the real victim is the student that doesnt stand a chance due to the fact he isnt favortized by the staff. and god forbid your child go through anything that is life changing and not know how to deal with it cause they dont care its hit the curb no matter how good they are academically. i advise everyone to send your child to a school that cares and wont give up on your child even if given 100 chances cause every child is worth it.

My ADHD son went to a public school (a suburb of Toledo) and was getting C's, D's, and F's. His class size there was 25+ and he was wrapped up in the drama going on at his school. As his grades were falling, so was his confidence. I am very happy to say he is now getting all A's and B's! His class sizes there are approximately 12 per class. With the smaller class sizes he's getting more individualized attention. There is an after-school program Monday through Friday that is AMAZING! From 3 to 4 students have test preparation/homework help then there are enrichment activities from 4 to 6 pm. Some of activities offered are guitar, welding, boatbuilding, kayaking, cooking, nautical architecture, military history, football, drama, art club, cross country, and volleyball just to name a few. Not to mention they have a pool and a state-of-the-art navigation simulator. My son really loves the outdoors as well, so I thought this school would be a good fit for him. It wasn't an easy choice to take him out of his former school but I am so glad I did!

My older children love this school. No bullying here, over 200 cameras with audio students can't hide their actions. Great exercise program and STEM learning system. Motivated teachers, access to the latest technology, and after school homework help.

This school is a sad shame more interested in putting cash-generating kids in seats than creating a consistent learning atmosphere. Most of the instructors are diligent professionals who strive to educate the students. They are fighing a school administration that has no concept of discipline. Too many of the students are medicated for various "learning disabilities". Too many students are under court-ordered supervision. The administration is a disgrace. The only saving grace of this place is the intention of providing continuing education for adult aspiring mariners- Fortunately that curriculum is dicated by the US Coast Guard and the Maritime administration. Do not send a child you care about to this disgraceful institution. Find another, better managed institution.
