I am a alumni from this school. I went there for 8 long years. I am now in my later years of high school in 2018. If you are thinking of sending your kids here think again. In the early years the place was tolerable at best with no true authority or organization to be found from k-4. Every year, every aspect of the school got worse as the time went on. For starters there is no air conditioning and the teachers often refuse to use the fans as a way to teach discipline in 95 degree day weather, no one could focus during this. Second the dress code is absurd. They will pester you to no end about it, showing no compassion to even the little kids berating them with little pieces of paper to show them their wrongdoing, also including the older grades. No logos can be shown whatsoever or be prepared for them to black them out with sharpie and ruin the clothes to promote "authority". Third, almost all of the teachers could care less about your kids. A few years back when I was there if anyone that the teacher didn't like because they weren't friends with that students parents or they didn't get good grades, the teacher would ignore any question or say to the poor student "why are you bothering me" or "leave me alone". Fourth, the kids there swear more and bully more than all the other private schools in the area. In my 6th grade year I heard the "F" word about 150 times a day from the students AND the staff. it also increased as the years went on. be prepared for your child to come home in the third grade and have them say the most racially and sexually charged jokes and phrases imaginable. Fifth, the treatment of kids by the staff in separated per student based on their race, wealth, or religious identity. I saw this constantly and I was horrified to hear that my teacher said right to my friends face that his dads job (being in the national guard) was on par to boy scouts with toy guns marching around. Teachers have ZERO respect for religious identity, political feelings, or difference in job or wealth that is different from their own. 6th, the homework and tests are ridiculous! The curriculum is outdated and has been since the early 2000's, there is no preparation for high school. The classrooms are a zoo.Be prepared to spend money on tutors! The school will fall apart soon, due to people coming back to reality. I could write more but I hit the max amount to put

I have three children in this school and they are treated with respect and are taught religion through actions and words. They are testing above state averages in numerous subjects. Utilizing smart boards and chromebooks on a daily basis. If the parents are concerned with anything they can reach out to the teachers and address the issue immediately. I appreciate the fact that they have a dress code for uniformity and I don't have to worry about name-brand polo shirts or the latest $200 basketball shoes. I think many parents would agree that children in our society today need to be taught manners, respect and kindness at home AND at school. Thank you to the Holy Family faculty and staff for what you do each day, you are making a difference.

My son is in year 8 of his education at Holy Family and we couldn't be happier. I'm so surprised at the negative reviews by other parents. However, my son is an over-achiever, very involved and has never been a discipline problem . Those I have personally known that left, blamed teachers for the issues and did not take personal responsibility for their child's actions. However, those are very common issues today. I've only ever seen a rigorous education, challenging academics and strong faith....far better than his friends in the Stow Public Schools. It's been worth every sacrifice to send him to Holy Family and I wouldn't change a thing.

Outdated is an understatement, children are taught on vintage computers mainly in a computer course, they have iPads, Chromebooks, and Thinkpads but they are only really used for when children are using an math program called "Accelerated Math". Dress Code is beyond strict as even having socks that aren't all black or white and not even a small Nike swoosh are accepted. School is on the decline at a 90 degree slope and it will not survive for 20 more years, being generous. Classrooms are jam packed with 30 kids per room which is very impossible for hands-on approach but good in you like conformity. Teachers are incredibly incompetent as the old ones have left essentially leading poor staff choices such as making the old Art teacher an Homeroom Teacher even though they most certainly not qualified. School is very washed up as stated in previous reviews that they are a blue ribbon school however, this was all the way back in 2012 and they are STILL putting up a banner about it even though its from so long ago they're clinging desperately. Teachers are also bizarrely strict, your child can be punished just for not wanting to play with another child which is quite odd. Bullying is a major issue here even though they try to act as though nothings wrong, all behind the scenes kids are through tons of drama. Bottom Line, you're better off sending your kids to Public Schooling and keeping the tuition you would've used instead of spending it at a dump like this place.

This is our 1st year at Holy Family. Our son is in 1st grade. We are only just 7 weeks or so in to the school year. One of the main reasons we chose to send our son to HFS is to be around individuals that care and respect others. We try our best at home but the reinforcement from someone other then the parents is the key. So far we have noticed a huge improvement in our sons actions to respect and care for others. There is still work to be done but I have seen the change. Also, my son is 5 and because of his willingness to learn and thrive to challenge himself, we placed him in 1st grade. HFS was supportive to our decision. We are thankful that they are willing to work with us and our child's needs.
